Story
💌 Dear Future Valentine, My name is Augie, and my heart is officially ready. ❤️ I’m an 8-year-old corgi mix, a happy little guy with a big love for the cozy things in life, especially soft beds, blankets, and anything cushy enough for a good nap (bonus points if it’s extra plush 😆). I might be a tiny bit shy when we first meet, but don’t let that fool you. Once I know you’re my person, I’m all in...kisses included. 😘 And fair warning: belly rubs are basically my love language. I enjoy toys now and then, but my true talents include being sweet, snuggly, and excellent at relaxing beside you. I’m past the puppy chaos and fully embracing my role as a gentle, affectionate companion, who just wants a warm spot and a kind heart to call home. 🏠 If you’re looking for a loyal Valentine who will adore you quietly, love you deeply, and happily curl up beside you, I might be your perfect match. 💘 Love, Augie 🐾 ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://iamdogrescue.org/adoption-application/ ***IMPORTANT- PLEASE READ*** Our adoption fee is $175. We require an application to be completed prior to setting up a meet-and-greet. We do not offer "on-the-spot" adoptions. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. We do our best to match dogs with families that will be a good fit to help ensure a successful adoption. We reserve the right to decline any application for any reason. Due to the nature of our adoption process, our fosters are usually only able to consider forever families within a reasonable driving distance of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. A vet reference is required, and a trial period will be completed before finalizing the adoption. Thank you for your understanding.

Story
Gus is 4 yrs old and a sweet dog, sensitive and a cuddler, but I adopted him with his brother at 2 mths from the same litter. At the time I was unfamiliar with littermate syndrome and they have been fighting since around 6-9 mths and it has progressively gotten worse and more frequent. I feel he would be best in a home with out children (he hasn't been around them much) or other dogs. He is reactive to people and other dogs. I've tried some different training on my own but it hasn't improved and I am worried about one of the dogs being injured seriously. I'm heartbroken but I live with my 85 year old Mom and she's unable to physically handle him and has almost fallen trying to break up fights. I will have his shots up to date before rehoming.

Story
Gemma is just over 1yo, maybe 25lbs, part fox, part cuddle bug, and 100% Good Girl. Gemma is still young so she loves to play and needs some mental enrichment to fight off boredom, but so far gets along great with dogs of all sizes and while we’re sure she'd love to have a playmate or two but she also plays well independently. If you are interested in Gemma, please fill out an application here: https://form.jotform.com/FWAAA/fwaaa-adoption-application

Story
Meet Steve — our newest rescue pup 🐾 Steve’s story almost ended before it had a chance to begin. He was found in the DFW area, dangerously close to being hit by a car. A Good Samaritan rushed him to the ER, hoping someone would come forward. No owner ever did. So we stepped in and Steve became ours. Steve is about 1 year old, heartworm negative, and not yet neutered. He’s a sweet little lowrider with the kindest eyes and a gentle soul that makes you wonder how he ever ended up alone. Despite the scare, Steve is pure love. He’s calm, affectionate, and so grateful for every soft touch and kind word. He’s not loud about it he just leans in and lets you know he’s happy to be safe. Steve survived the streets. Now he’s ready for what comes next. A couch. A routine. A forever family to start the next chapter of his story. 📍 Newly rescued & safe 🐾 Dallas Dog – Rescue. Rehab. Reform. 🔗 www.dallasdogrrr.org Welcome to rescue life, Steve. The best part starts now. 💙
