Her prior owner could not continue to care for her and reached out. Thumper is now in a foster home and having a wonderful time. She's full of fun and play, hence has made many new friends in the foster. She has room to run and be silly. She's also living with a cat and knows how to respect them. Thumper's crate trained and learning about housetraining. Thumper's adoption fee if $400 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  Puerto Rico shelter - needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here!   Special adoption considerations:   Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. Bullet was adopted three years ago. It took some time for him to transition, but he became an amazing dog and his confidence shown through. He is amazing with children and a staunch protector of them. When he was first adopted, he did have some difficulties with house training that he quickly overcame. Unfortunately, our family is going through a difficult divorce and he is no longer getting the care he needs and deserves and the house training issues have resurfaced.
