APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. (Shayne's Rescue is an affiliate with PetCentralSATX). If there are problems with the website, please email me for help. This beautiful dog came with the name Rubix, but we call her Ruby. She is a “Lowrider” mix…we think a Welsh Corgi mix. DOB 12/1/24; weighs 27#s. Ruby is a shy, sweet soul who absolutely adores people. She’s got a gentle heart, a love of belly rubs, and a soft spot for sweet affection and cuddles and… once she warms up, she’ll be your loyal shadow. Her dreamy, creamy fur, short legs and long body make her as cute as a button! She walks well on a leash, is crate trained, and is potty trained (and as a young dog small-breed, she needs to go outside frequently. How is she with other dogs you ask? She’s still learning to feel safe. She has done well with dogs her size, and plays energetically and respectfully. Bigger dogs who are respectful can win her over, but if they are too energetic or rough she becomes intimidated and runs to her human for protection. She does warm up quickly and loves to play. Ruby would thrive in a home with a loving, respectful and playful dog companion, or solo as your shadow. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at petcentralsatx@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to the NE. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
Please contact Diane Pedulla (dianep@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.is sweet puppers! is not one North Pole worker! ELF NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:    Elf       Best Guess for Breed:   Corgi mix   Best Guess for Age:   4 years as of December 2025       SEX:   Male   Approximate Weight:   15 lbs   Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  South Carolina shelter- needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here!   Special adoption considerations: Elf is a truly Lucky Dog. He tested positive for heartworms, but has been treated. Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. Heartworm dogs can resume full active and normal lives, but need to be kept calm for 4-6 weeks after treatment. We are happy to discuss where in the treatment process this Lucky Dog is in right now! Just email the adoption coordinator - the address is at lower left!   Elf is Looking For: This tremendously cute boy with the even cuter name landed in the shelter through no fault of his own. He's eager to once again have his own humans for sniffy walks and all the adventures they can dream up! Quality kibble and a cushy dog bed are on his wish list too, but you know what? He's out of the puppy yips and as a wise, experienced dog, he knows what's most important in life: Being safe and loved, in a home where he belongs.    In exchange he promises to make you go awww every time you look at that face, and love and loyal companionship for all his days. What do you say? Can you see Elf down there by your side?   What My Foster Says About Me:   We will update this once he has spent time in foster care.    Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:    The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment.  If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.   Thank you for contacting Lucky Dog Animal Rescue and helping to save a life!  Please visit us online at    www.luckydoganimalrescue.org   .    BE A FOSTER!!!    Fosters make it possible for Lucky Dog Animal Rescue to save and care for homeless and abandoned dogs!  To learn about fostering, please contact    fostering@luckydoganimalrescue.org   ! Frappy lifts our spirits just by looking at her. She’s so silly looking with her short legs and long body. Looks like a cross between a dachshund and a corgi! But she has one of those dog mouths that looks like she is smiling all the time. She is also one of those happy-go-lucky souls who just takes life as it comes and enjoys it. We have been fostering her for about three weeks and it has been a total joy. She loves to snuggle, but is very respectful if you are not in the mood. Mostly she loves to just hang around wherever we areShe gets along great with the other dogs and is a super gentle soul with everyone. She doesn’t jump all over us or overwhelm us – she’s just happy to be with us and receive a few kisses. She will make some very lucky person or family a wonderful companion!

📌 Important Adoption Information All of our dogs are currently living in private shelters or foster homes in South Korea. Once an adoption is approved, dogs will travel to the United States through legal and approved international transport procedures. Video calls are available prior to adoption, and adopters can communicate with our rescue team in real time through our official organization and app-based messaging channels throughout the process. 🩷 Rescue Story Coby was found in Gajwa-dong, Incheon. At the time of rescue, he was wearing a collar, suggesting he may have once belonged to someone. However, despite waiting for over two months, no one came forward to claim him. He has since been living in foster care, where he has shown himself to be an exceptionally gentle and well-adjusted companion. 🌿 Temperament & Behavior Coby likes other dogs and greets them politely without barking. He shows friendly interest and interacts calmly. When he sees cats, he shows curiosity and wants to follow them. He does not bark or show aggressive behavior, but he has not been tested off-leash with cats. He shows little interest in passing children. He has not had experience with very young children who are not yet walking. 🚶 Walking & Daily Life Coby enjoys short daily walks, about 15–20 minutes in the morning and evening. After walks, he spends most of his time resting calmly at home. He walks nicely on leash and settles easily into a relaxed indoor routine. 🏡 Habits & Training Coby is fully pad-trained indoors. Because he lifts his leg when urinating, his pee pads are set up in an L-shape. Since starting twice-daily walks, he now prefers to poop outdoors, though he previously used indoor pads reliably as well. Early in foster care, he marked indoors 3–4 times. Occasionally, when left alone, he urinated on the sofa. After limiting sofa access during absences, this behavior stopped completely. He now consistently uses a single designated pad area and is very easy to manage indoors. He has no howling and no destructive behavior. He may bark briefly (about twice) at the doorbell, but otherwise he is a very quiet dog. Coby tolerates bathing, brushing, paw cleaning, and general handling extremely well. He enjoys staying close to people but is also comfortable sleeping separately at night. 💛 Likes & Personality Coby is affectionate and loving with people. When passersby show interest, he calmly makes eye contact and approaches when called to receive pets. His foster family describes him as an exceptionally easy dog to live with—so much so that they feel it would be hard to meet another dog as well-mannered as Coby. He is currently living in a foster home. 💙 Adoption Fee Information The adoption fee already includes all major expenses, such as: International transportation Customs and export documentation Medical care (spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, health certificate, deworming, etc.) For this reason, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting a breakdown or negotiation of the adoption fee. Your support directly helps us continue rescuing and caring for dogs in need, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding.
