Dude is waiting for his Forever Home! Meet Dude - a loyal, curious Corgi mix with a big heart who is now available for adoption! Dude loves being close to his people and has a calm, comforting presence. He is neutered, house-trained, leash-trained, micro-chipped, up to date on his vaccinations and ready to find his forever home. Dude is very affectionate and loves relaxing with his people, going for walks, sunbathing (a Corgi thing), lots and lots of belly rubs. He would thrive in a calm, loving home that wants a gentle companion. Dude is very smart, learns quickly and aims to please. He got along well with his sister and is curious to meet other dogs on walks. He is building up his strength, endurance and courage as his activity was highly restricted during his treatment. I'm available to answer any questions you may have about Dude. He is a sweetheart, just waiting for his forever home. Apply to adopt dude at www.totherescueinc.org Location: Northern VA

Please contact Diane Pedulla (dianep@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.sweet boy ISO fresh start and love! ECHO NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Echo and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (8/23) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Silver Spring (12020 Cherry Hill Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20904)!   Name:  Echo        Best Guess for Breed:  Corgi and terrier mix  Best Guess for Age: 7 years as of July 2026          SEX:  Male   Approximate Weight:  13 lbs   Gets Along With:  Echo does well with other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home   Special adoption considerations:    Echo was rescued from a hoarding situation in South Carolina.  He has not been well socialized with new people and has lived his whole life with other dogs. In addition, he only has vision in one eye and may be deaf. Being outside on a leash is a scary experience for him.  He will need a patient adopter who can give him time to come out of his shell and learn that the world is a wonderful and welcoming place.    And because he is shy, he needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog who will show him the ropes. You may notice that his right eye is smaller than the left. It seems like it has been shrunken for a long time. It doesn't bother him and the vet's recommendation is to leave it alone. He can see out of his left eye but his vision is limited. We also believe he is deaf.   Echo is Looking For:   His forever home, filled with snuggles and opportunities to see the world! One where he is a cherished part of a family. He's very sweet, and SO ready to be a Real Dog.Extra patient and loving humans who introduce him to new places and people at his pace are exactly what he wants! Along with quality kibble, a cushy dog bed, and endless snuggles. You know what you get out of adopting a dog like that? An incredibly sweet and grateful dog who gives you all those adoring gazes, all the love and loyalty in his body, for all his days. What do you say? Is he the one for you? Are you his new chapter and forever home? What My Foster Says About Me:  Echo is a sweet boy who seems hopeful about the future. Every time I’d look at him in the backseat on the drive home, he’d wag his tail. He isn’t comfortable walking on a leash. When he’s scared, his instinct is to lay down and freeze. If you sit with him and give him a moment, he’ll timidly army crawl to you with his tail wagging.     Echo is cautiously confident inside but freezes when taken outside. We've created a small zone for him in the yard and he's working on becoming more confident there. He is very smart, food motivated, and eager to please. It's amazing to watch him mentally mapping out his little outdoor space.   He met several kids at the adoption event and did really well! I think he’d be fine with older children. He’s sleeping well and likes his crate. He’s a very resilient dog and I think he’ll be a really rewarding dog to adopt.  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Story
🐾 Meet Willie 🐶 Name: Willie 🐕 Breed: Welsh Corgi 🎂 Age: Approximately 3–4 years old ⚖️ Weight: 9 kg (20 lbs) ♂️ Gender: Male (Neutered) 💉 Vaccinated: Yes Current location: S.Korea 👨‍👩‍👧 People Willie is very friendly with people. Even complete strangers can pet him in the elevator, and he'll happily wag his tail and enjoy the attention. 🧒Kids: He has not lived with young children, but he has never shown any aggression toward children he has met during walks. 🐕 Dogs Wilie is indifferent in other dogs, he is focused on people. If another dog barks aggressively at him, he usually chooses to avoid the situation. 🐱 Cats Unknown. Willie has never lived with cats. But he doesnt have prey drive ✅ No separation anxiety. He is not destructive when left alone. In fact, he seems to enjoy having some quiet time to himself. ✅ Food Willie enjoys food but has excellent manners. He has shown no signs of food or toy guarding. ✅Walking Willie absolutely loves going for walks and prefers to potty outdoors. He currently goes outside at least twice a day (morning and evening) ✅Crate Although he has never had formal crate training, Willie is comfortable going into a crate and even sleeps there voluntarily. ✅Barking Willie is a very quiet dog. The only time he usually barks is when he gets excited before going out for a walk. ✅Handling & Grooming Willie enjoys being petted, especially belly rubs and gentle forehead scratches. He also doesn't particularly enjoy being picked up. Early on, he would struggle when lifted by unfamiliar people, but after building trust with his foster family, he became much more comfortable with it. ✅Escape Risk Willie is not a dog that tries to run away. However, because he is naturally cautious, loud noises such as construction sounds or heavy metal doors slamming may startle him in unfamiliar environments. If that happens, he may try to move toward a place where he feels safe. As long as his leash is securely held, this is easy to manage. Calm reassurance or gently holding him helps him recover quickly. ❤️ Personality Willie is a calm, gentle, and independent boy. He enjoys spending time with people but is also perfectly happy relaxing by himself. When left alone, he usually finds a cool, comfortable spot and naps peacefully. Although he has a playful side and enjoys tug games and walks, he has a naturally low-to-medium energy level and would fit best with a calm household. ❤️ Ideal Home Willie would do best with a calm family that appreciates his gentle, thoughtful personality. He enjoys companionship but is not clingy, making him a wonderful match for someone looking for an easygoing, independent dog. Because he loves outdoor potty breaks and daily walks, his ideal family should be able to take him outside every morning and evening. Willie is a careful and sensitive soul who may be startled by sudden loud noises outdoors, but with a patient and reassuring owner, he quickly regains his confidence. If you're looking for a sweet, well-mannered companion who is quiet, affectionate, and easy to live with, Willie may be the perfect addition to your family. ❤️
