ASR scooped him up and brought him to San Diego to find his forever home. Pip is not afraid to tell you what's on his mind. He is chatty and sassy. He loves to cuddle on his foster's lap while they are working from home. He loves going into his little carrier while he's on outside adventures.

Snuggles, this adorable low rider, is quite the dog. She may look sweet and quiet (and usually is) but she is a sneak. She loves to chase cats, but gets over it once they whop her nose. She enjoys taking her brother's toys and snacks, which he seems oblivious to. They will take turns attempting to play catch (when they feel like it) with their toy squirrel. Snugs loves to be held, as well as car rides. She's not quite a lap dog because she has to initiate the love, but she will always be super excited to see her favorite people. She starts off a bit shy and wary but can warm up quickly when she feels safe, loved. Just a caution, her poor back leg joints do hurt her a bit so try not to grab her there. This 5 yr old stud muffin is a complex little fellow. He nailed housetraining within 3 days, but came from a home where he used pee pads and will use them if available. He is a true lady's man and will bark at men and visitors. He is currently rooming with 7 senior dogs. He seems a bit indifferent to them so he could likely be happy in a home with or without canine companions, however a playmate with similar energy to his would be a bonus. He has had a few instances of resource guarding, primarily his human. He is a classic wiener in every sense, equipped with every quirk Dachshund lovers know all to well. He is torpedo fast and enjoys turbo speed zoomies around the yard and playing fetch. He is terrified of being on leash. He is fearful of wheels, cars, bikes, skateboards. We are hopeful he overcomes his fearful tendencies. He rides well but apprehensive in the car. He is a great eater. Sully is a spunky little thing with her sass tank on full. When she has her person, she wants to know where they are at all times. She follows her foster mom around wherever she goes, and gives a stern talking to through the door if left on the opposite side. Sully has been in the company of dogs big and small. She mostly exists in the same space, unless someone gets too close to her favorite person, or in her perceived territory. It's mostly big talk, with some chest puffing. Sully started her stay with a strong will to find a way out of the boundary. Once there was no where to sneak through, and she settled in better, her urges to Houdini have lessened. She is a sweet and funny girl, and with time and patience her confidence will bloom and she might even let you go to the bathroom without a chaperone once in a while.
