We do NOT know her breed but rescued from the streets of Ensenada we know she is a super mutt. Currently fostered at casa de ARWOB along with severa other foster dogs and cats. She is pretty great with all size dogs and cats. She may be small BUT she plays no problem with the large breeds and LOVES her toys, she may have a bit of a hoarding incline in her too. She loves to fetch the tennis ball and will hoard her tennis balls around from location to location trying to defuzz them. She also can be found nibbling on any benabones and rough plastic toys. She has a very funny, active and loving personality. She is not a yappy dog BUT can be barky especially if things are going outside the house to warn you. She does OK in car rides, has not gotten car sick BUT she does tend to be a bit scared and try to hide under the car seat, she probably would do better with a car seat or a second person in the car vs her alone in the back seat. Signing up for dog training for this girl would be great for her so she can be a fantastic companion, she certainly will bring love, entertainment and laughter to anyones home. She is spayed fully vetted and healthy READY to find a home before the Holidays!11/1/25 This young cutie was found outside of a rescuers home when she opened the gate to leave early mornign for work this little girl was outside sitting down looking afraid and lost. She had never seen her before and took her to the vet close by to see if they recognized her as a patient and network to find owner.  After a couple of weeks and no owner claiming her she contacted ARWOB for help to accept her which we did. READY for adoption and currently also searching for a foster. ARWOB is not holding adoption events at this time and if serious and interested in possibly adopting this rescue dog we request adoption applications are submitted on our home page at ARWOB.org once received we will text or email to schedule a call in the hopes we can move fwd to schedule a meet and greet. You must contact dperezsaar@cox.net or call 619-884-6435 for more information or to meet Dr. Pepper. Meet Dr. Pepper — Small Dog, Big Personality, Bigger Heart  Dr. Pepper is a 3-year-old, 11-pound sweetheart who’s ready to love life with his forever family! Once he feels safe, his fun, spunky side comes shining through — he loves toys, zoomies, and soaking up affection. He’s playful, silly, and full of personality, but also knows how to relax and enjoy a good cuddle. He’s affectionate and loyal — a true little shadow who loves being close to his person. He’s even enjoyed playing with other gentle dogs once he’s comfortable! Dr. Pepper would do best in a calm, child-free home with a securely fenced yard. Having his own yard helps him feel safe and confident for potty breaks and playtime. He’s house trained and also uses potty pads if needed. He takes daily fluoxetine to help with confidence and continues to blossom beautifully. Dr. Pepper isn’t an adventure dog — he’s a cozy homebody who loves soft blankets, sunshine, and people who understand that the best things in life are calm and full of love. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Shane is with us because his owner passed away. It took Shane a while to warm up to us as he was traumatized upon arrival. Now he enjoys being massaged and shows gratitude by wagging his tail. He’s not a big snuggle guy because of his medium length hair so he will need grooming. He has bonded with a chihuahua in the home so he capable of making dog friends. In fact, he does whatever his little chi pal does. It’s very cute. Shane is a tad overweight so we’re careful not to over feed him. He weighs in at a whopping 19 pounds. Shane would look and feel better at a reasonable weight of 12 to 15 pounds. He likes walks and is a walking pro at fiesta island (our local dog park). He even gets his paws wet in the bay. This summer I expect a full submerge. This little man has come a long way and seeks a person understands him and will allow him the time he needs to accumulate to a new environment. Shane will make a good walking partner and add loving waggs and warmth to your home. call for an appointment to meet Mr. Shane in person 858-442-6585    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.    October 25, 2024, 12:14 am

We set up meet & greet appointments, do a home visit or send them the address for some meet & greet locations, paperwork and suddenly they said they are not ready or spouse is not ready, etc. These fur kids have a very hard day the day of their appointment. Due to travelling we hold their food, so they won't get car sick. We bath them, some of them are schedule for grooming as you know it is stressful for them; then they have to travel with us picking up other rescued fur kids, and so on, it is a very stressful hard day for them for people to just cancel at last minute or not show up or do show up and just say they are not ready. Our time as well as your time is valuable. Please don't waste valuable time that is so precious for a rescued pet. Every single wasted time is a time that an animal will die because we didn't get to them on time to help them. In addition, of wasting gas and grooming fees which are paid by volunteers. Please take the time to put your shoes in the shoes of the volunteer and most of it to put your shoes on our rescued fur kids!! Story
Looking for a silly, outgoing, spunky and fun-loving Basset Hound and Boston Terrier mix to brighten your days? Then Heron may just be your guy! Heron originally came to us from a shelter in San Bernardino County, and he quickly made fast friends with everyone both two and four legged. His favorite pastimes at TBL include roaming the play yard with his buddies, playing fetch, going on weekend hikes with volunteers, and just being a ham for attention. You only need to meet him to know that this playful dude has a happy-go-lucky outlook on life and nothing will bring him down. Given his energy and tenacity, he would do best with an experienced owner that can keep him grounded and help set boundaries. Heron loves to give you kisses – whether your hands, arms, or face, he is not picky! He comes equipped with adorably squat legs, classic black and white coloring, constantly wagging tail, big inquisitive brown eyes, and happy smiling face. To those who know him well, and those he has established trust with, he is a very sweet, jolly, and obedient boy. Heron weighs around 30 pounds, a great size for most types of living situations. He is about 9 and a half years young (estimated DOB December 2011) but can still keep up with the best of them on long hikes and outdoor adventures. If Heron sounds like the perfect pup you have been looking for, come see if he is a match for you!If you'd like to meet Heron, please visit www.thebarkinglot.net/adoptTo initiate the adoption process for this dog, please complete our online application by clicking below.
