Story
Snuggles, this adorable low rider, is quite the dog. She may look sweet and quiet (and usually is) but she is a sneak. She loves to chase cats, but gets over it once they whop her nose. She enjoys taking her brother's toys and snacks, which he seems oblivious to. They will take turns attempting to play catch (when they feel like it) with their toy squirrel. Snugs loves to be held, as well as car rides. She's not quite a lap dog because she has to initiate the love, but she will always be super excited to see her favorite people. She starts off a bit shy and wary but can warm up quickly when she feels safe, loved. Just a caution, her poor back leg joints do hurt her a bit so try not to grab her there. She doesn't become aggressive but you can tell she doesn't like having that area touched.Fill out an adoption application directly on our website at www.lionelslegacy.org

Story
This 5 yr old stud muffin is a complex little fellow. He nailed housetraining within 3 days, but came from a home where he used pee pads and will use them if available. He is a true lady's man and will bark at men and visitors. He is currently rooming with 7 senior dogs. He seems a bit indifferent to them so he could likely be happy in a home with or without canine companions, however a playmate with similar energy to his would be a bonus. He has had a few instances of resource guarding, primarily his human. He is a classic wiener in every sense, equipped with every quirk Dachshund lovers know all to well. He is torpedo fast and enjoys turbo speed zoomies around the yard and playing fetch. He is terrified of being on leash. He is fearful of wheels, cars, bikes, skateboards. We are hopeful he overcomes his fearful tendencies. He rides well but apprehensive in the car. He is a great eater. A backyard is an absolute must have for this little bundle of chocolatey sweetness.Fill out an adoption application directly on our website at www.lionelslegacy.org

Story
Zeus is a lovely 10yr old dachshund mix with a wonderfully cuddly temperament. He is in a foster home with a cat that took a bit of work to get him comfortable with her and it was worth the effort, because they are now besties. He is doing very well with his potty skills with praise and a treats. He gets along very well with his fosters doge Pepe. They can even share food on a dish. He likes to play with a tennis ball and loves squeaky toys. He loves the park and he does well with the kids there that want to pet or walk him. He LOVES going in the car. He has always slept through the night. He has a wonderful appetite and loves his treats. When walking, he likes meeting other dogs in the complex. He would benefit from a home that has a backyard so he can go out whenever he needs to.Fill out an adoption application directly on our website at www.lionelslegacy.org

Story
We rescued Jack 7 years ago from a home with two small children who were not nice to him. When we first got him he was terrified of people and didn't know the feeling of being on grass. He barked and snapped at everyone and had his tail tucked all the time. He has come so far since then! But unfortunately he is still not good around little kids. We have tried for the past 2 years to make it work but he is not happy around a rambunctious 2 year old and now another newborn. He is a great cuddle bug but has some reactivity and barking issues. Would be great for an older or work from home couple. Crate trained, eager to learn, knows some tricks and basic commands. Has trust issues and needs a calm confident owner who can focus on further training. We truly want him to have a happier life with more freedom without kids

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please review our Adoption Process before filling out an application.  If you would like to try a Foster to Adopt trial, please fill out an Adoption Application.  If you are only interested in temporarily Fostering one of our rescues, please fill out a Foster Application.   11/22/25Roxy is the most adorable and funny xs breed around. We do NOT know her breed but rescued from the streets of Ensenada we know she is a super mutt. Currently fostered at casa de ARWOB along with severa other foster dogs and cats. She is pretty great with all size dogs and cats. She may be small BUT she plays no problem with the large breeds and LOVES her toys, she may have a bit of a hoarding incline in her too. She loves to fetch the tennis ball and will hoard her tennis balls around from location to location trying to defuzz them. She also can be found nibbling on any benabones and rough plastic toys. She has a very funny, active and loving personality. She is not a yappy dog BUT can be barky especially if things are going outside the house to warn you. She does OK in car rides, has not gotten car sick BUT she does tend to be a bit scared and try to hide under the car seat, she probably would do better with a car seat or a second person in the car vs her alone in the back seat. Signing up for dog training for this girl would be great for her so she can be a fantastic companion, she certainly will bring love, entertainment and laughter to anyones home. She is spayed fully vetted and healthy READY to find a home before the Holidays!11/1/25 This young cutie was found outside of a rescuers home when she opened the gate to leave early mornign for work this little girl was outside sitting down looking afraid and lost. She had never seen her before and took her to the vet close by to see if they recognized her as a patient and network to find owner.  After a couple of weeks and no owner claiming her she contacted ARWOB for help to accept her which we did. READY for adoption and currently also searching for a foster. ARWOB is not holding adoption events at this time and if serious and interested in possibly adopting this rescue dog we request adoption applications are submitted on our home page at ARWOB.org once received we will text or email to schedule a call in the hopes we can move fwd to schedule a meet and greet. We do NOT place holds on rescues, only submit applications if ready to adopt. Typically adoptions are the same day of scheduled meet and greets assuming it goes well and there is a connection between both parties. The adoption process can be quick as soon as the next day or two OR up to a week depending on the rescue inquiring and applicant getting everything in order like landlord approval, etc.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you would like to meet one of our animals, PLEASE fill out an adoption application.
