Story
This is Buddy Bear and he’ll snuggle up with you or jump 5 feet in the air! He's an eager people pleaser 💕 Buddy is the sweetest dog! He’s fine as a lone dog, or he’ll become part of a pack very quickly. Everybody loves buddy and he can even go to Dogtopia for playtime or overnight. He’ll play with you anytime you want or he’s perfectly happy to lay around anywhere. He’s not bothered either way. Buddy is still young/healthy and he’ll eat anything! He’ll become part of your family pack too. He’s good even if you have small children, he just has to get to know them first. He’s not fond of toddlers out in the world that he doesn’t know and because of that, I have a very controllable leash so if somebody comes up behind us, (a.k.a. toddler) I can be sure he distances, because he’s likely to bark and tug on his leash. He IS the sweetest dog! Fyi he might bark when you’re not around. Medical: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1splEVX898iWPg3gSHb79y4TCsQlwPeVT/view?usp=drivesdk

Story
'RESCUED' (PUPPIES x8 ) at 9 weeks old BORN 5/03/25There are a mix of females and males ( 6 males and 2 females) We rescued the momma dog with her 3 day old puppies on 5/6/25. Momma is a Chiweenie but no idea what the father(s) were! Looks like maybe some spaniel though.  So it is a mystery on how they will turn out :)  'Hello, I am a young and curious puppy with a lot of love to give! I am very affectionate and love to cuddle up with my human friends. I am also very friendly. I am a very playful and funny and  love to make my human friends laugh. I am also a smart puppy and I am highly trainable. I was rescued along with my mommy and brothers and sisters when I was just 3 days old, My eyes were not even open yet!  My momma is a 13 lb Chiweenie. But I don't know what or who my daddy was. So I am a mix of different breeds, and I am sure I will grow up to be a a super doggy. I am just 9 weeks old, so I am still a baby and have a lot of energy. I would love to go to a forever home where I can get a lot of love and attention. If you are looking for a fun and furry addition to your family, look no further! I am sure that I would be the perfect fit. Please consider adopting me, and giving me a forever home filled with love.' They are now ready to go. Meet Bruno (aka Max)! 🐶❤️ If Bruno looks a little familiar to you, it’s because he could easily pass for Max, the lovable canine sidekick from The Grinch! But unlike the movie, this sweet boy is all about bringing pure joy to your home. Bruno is a total gem—he’s fully house-trained, leash-trained, and fantastic with both kids and other dogs. He’s the complete package! Bruno is a medium energy pup and doesn’t like overly hyper pups but loves getting the zoomies and playing with the pups on occasionally. Bruno’s Dream Home Wishlist: 🌳 A yard to run around and play in 🐾 A doggy sibling to hang out with (he loves canine companions!) 🏠 A present family who either spends plenty of quality time at home or loves bringing their pup along on every adventure. (Bruno’s doesn’t mind being left behind but would love to join in on the adventures, he’s a perfect gentleman on public outings 🩵) If you’re looking for a loyal, sweet, adventure-loving buddy to complete your family, Bruno is ready to meet you! 👉 Apply to adopt Bruno today!

ATTENTION:  All of our dogs are in private foster homes.  We do NOT have a kennel with multiple dogs.  If you find a dog you want to meet in person, please go to www.secondchancedogrescue.org and complete an application.    We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt. Meet Sully! Sully is a 7-year-old, 23-pound Dachshund/Beagle mix with plenty of energy and personality packed into those short little legs! If you’re looking for an active walking buddy, Sully may be your guy. In his foster home, he’s averaging about five miles of walking a day—and still has energy left to play ball before and after! Sully absolutely loves chasing balls and bringing them back for another throw. He walks beautifully on leash and is not dog reactive. He currently lives peacefully with other Dachshunds and is friendly and curious when meeting most new people. Like many hounds, Sully does have a strong prey drive, so a home without cats or other small animals is a must. Lizards and rodents are also very exciting in Sully’s world! At home, Sully loves being close to his people. When it’s time to relax, he’ll happily settle beside you, and at bedtime, he much prefers snuggling up with his humans rather than sleeping in a crate. He knows sit, down, and stay, although he may wiggle a little closer if he suspects more treats are coming! Sully is still working on his potty training and indoor marking following his recent neuter, so he’ll need a patient family willing to continue helping him build good habits. A consistent morning and bedtime potty routine works well for him. Sully also has a lot to say! He can be very vocal when he wants something, so he would not be a good fit for an apartment, condo, or home with shared walls. If you’re looking for a fun, active, affectionate companion with a big personality, Sully is ready to find his forever family! He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations. His adoption fee is $300.  All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption.   Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Fees help Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs,   vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies. Please go to  www.secondchancedogrescue.org  and complete an application today!    All dogs live in private foster homes until they are adopted.  August 28, 2026, 11:21 am
