7/7/25: This sweet girl came into the Animal Shelter as a stray, just about to burst with pups and not fully mobile on all four legs. She is being seen by a vet to determine the best way to deliver the pups. She will become available as soon as all her pups are whelped and weaned, anticipated to be early to mid-September. But you don't have to wait until then...if you are interested in this girl, fill out an application. Our goal is that as soon as she is done being supermom, she has her own place to land right away! Adorable Gretchen is ready to wiggle her way right into your heart! She is a darling 6 ½ -month-old puppy (born approximately 10/30/25), weighing 10.8 pounds, with a beautiful black and tan coat. This sweet Dachshund / Chihuahua mix definitely takes after her Doxie side with her long little body and irresistible charm. Gretchen came to AFC with her sister, Gretel, who is also available for adoption. She was lovingly surrendered so she could find the forever family she deserves. Gretchen is current on her vaccinations, micro-chipped and is scheduled to be spayed soon, but she is ready to start meeting potential adopters now. Lady is sweet, affectionate playful companion. She is good on a leash and is just waiting for you to take her for a walk :) Lady is around 1 yr old, 25lbs and likely a mix of chihuahua, dachshund, lab... who knows! She takes it slow with new dogs and sets her boundaries, but warms up to them with time. Lady may have some developmental issues - she forgets things occassionaly. He is one year old. Peter is good with other small dogs, loves cats and kids… he is shy at first but warms up quickly. Peter is crate trained & almost completely potty trained he wears a belly band to help with training which makes it very easy. We are currently working on leash training. Peter is fixed, chipped, fully vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated & recently groomed. Peter will come with a leash, harness, collar, tag, toys, treats, food ect.
