7/7/25: This sweet girl came into the Animal Shelter as a stray, just about to burst with pups and not fully mobile on all four legs. She is being seen by a vet to determine the best way to deliver the pups. She will become available as soon as all her pups are whelped and weaned, anticipated to be early to mid-September. But you don't have to wait until then...if you are interested in this girl, fill out an application. Our goal is that as soon as she is done being supermom, she has her own place to land right away! She deserves to be pampered and cuddled for the rest of her life!

Snickerdoodle was born on August 9, 2025. He is a Doxy mix who was adopted by an 80-year-old woman that had never had a dog before. Through no fault of his own he was given to us to find a new forever home. Snickerdoodle loves to play with his toys and would be happy as the only dog or as a companion for another dog. He does like to be the dominant dog of the bunch. Snickerdoodle loves to take a nap on your lap and get lots of pets, and he sleeps in his crate at night. He is used to using wee wee pads to go potty and is starting to go outside to do his business. Snickerdoodle would do best with children over the age of eight only because he can be a little bit mouthy while playing. He just needs consistency with training to teach him how to have a soft mouth and to work on basic commands. He would make a wonderful companion to anyone’s family. Snickerdoodle is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, dewormed, and microchipped. Princess Jade is the sweetest and cutest dog you'll ever meet. She is 2.5 years old, born on/around July 31, 2023. Jade is very playful, LOVES to fetch, go to the dog park (she loves big dogs), cuddle, and feel the wind on her face on car rides. She has playful energy but is also happy to relax, play with her toys, or chew on her chew toys or sticks. She is crate trained and potty trained but sometimes has accidents if she gets really excited. She is adored by everyone she meets, and is truly a gem. She deserves every opportunity to live her best life, she will give you so much love.

Our little Midnight is so cute and sweet.Obsessed with food, she sits as soon as she sees you have some!Still learning to walk on leash, but is fine if you carry her :)Was totally neutral with a dog after a few minutes intro.Volunteers describe her as `simply sweet.`What more can you ask for?This little Dachshund/Terrier mix will be so happy to see you, especially if you have a treat!To make an appointment to meet her, please go to yoloshelter.org/adopt. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control.
