Story
I am a new arrival to Kimie's Kritters and am a young and active gentleman. I love playing with other dogs and seem to get along well with others. I have not been cat-tested but Kimie thinks I would do well with them. Due to my energy level, Kimie thinks I would do best in a home with a fenced yard.

Story
Sweet, affectionate, and oh-so-cuddly, Hannah Banana is the complete package! Hannah Banana is about 7-8 years old and is a loving girl who is quick to charm you with her big brown eyes and gentle nature. She is the epitome of a lap dog and is quick to make herself comfy on your lap if you sit next to her. She loves to give kisses and will plant one right on your face if you let her! Hannah currently weighs around 8lbs, but is a little underweight and, according to our vets, should weigh closer to 9-10lbs. Hannah came to us after she was brought to a local shelter with 3 other dogs when their owners were no longer able to care for them. She is currently being fostered with one of the dogs she previously lived with, Charles, but the dogs aren't bonded and would do fine being adopted into separate homes. Hannah loves to be with her people and her happy place is curled up on the couch with her foster parents. She enjoys her daily strolls around the neighborhood and has recently discovered that stuffed toys are fun to chew on. She is such an easy-going girl and would be a wonderful companion for someone who is retired or looking for a mellow sidekick. She doesn't seem to have had any former training, like sit or down, but is happy to look at you with puppy dog eyes when you have something tasty. Hannah has done well with other small dogs, but we haven't seen her around large dogs. She may do well living with other easy-going dogs, but probably wouldn't be a good fit to live with young or super playful dogs. Hannah would also not mind being your one and only dog as she loves to be the center of attention. Hannah has done well with the cats in her foster home and could do well living with dog-savvy cats in her forever home with a slow introduction and proper supervision. Due to her size and age, Hannah would do best with kids 10 years or older. Hannah has been doing well with her housetraining as long as she is taken outside every 4-5 hours for potty breaks. She is well-mannered around the house and has done well free-roaming with Charles when home alone (they just sleep on the couch until someone comes home to cuddle with them). Hannah sleeps through the night in a large crate with Charles but probably would love to sleep in bed if you'd let her. She is happy to sleep in and is easily able to adjust to your sleeping schedule. Hannah underwent dental surgery while in foster care and is all healed up after having several teeth removed. She doesn't require any special care, but her new family should stay on top of her dental health to prevent any other issues down the line. Hannah Banana is such a lovebug and she can't wait to become your new best friend! If she sounds like the girl for you, submit an adoption application today!   Hannah Banana's adoption fee is $250.   Apply to adopt here!  https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/   Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org. May 27, 2024, 2:09 pm
