Story
I am a new arrival to Kimie's Kritters and am a young and active gentleman. I love playing with other dogs and seem to get along well with others. I have not been cat-tested but Kimie thinks I would do well with them. Due to my energy level, Kimie thinks I would do best in a home with a fenced yard.

Story
Meet Puff, the practically perfect pup! Puff is a 3-year-old darling girl who is quick to charm you with her bubbly personality and endless sunshine. She is the happiest girl around who loves nothing more than making new friends and getting lots of attention. She must have been a circus dog in her previous life because she always shows off her ability to jump and dance on her back legs. Puff is fully grown and weighs about 17lbs. Puffy came to us from the Yolo County Animal Shelter after being found as a stray in rural Woodland. She was found with her companion, Coco, and both dogs were severely matted. They got a much-needed haircut and are now thriving in separate foster homes. Puff is the epitome of an extrovert and will walk up to anyone and immediately become their best friend. She is pretty much always wagging her tail and will never turn down an opportunity for some fun. She loves to play fetch, and has even learned to throw the ball herself! She is a moderate-energy girl who needs her daily walk and then is happy to snuggle up on the couch with you or keep herself amused by playing with her toys. She is very food-motivated and has already learned some basic manners. Puff seems like she would love to have another dog buddy in her forever home, but she also has been loving being an only child and getting all the attention to herself. We haven't seen her around cats, but she may do well living with dog-savvy cats with a slow introduction and proper supervision. Puff can be a little mouthy and jumpy when excited so she would do best with kids over 7 years old. Puff has been doing great with her housetraining using a dog door and does well hanging out in her crate when home alone. She also has done well free roaming for short periods while her foster parents are away. She overall is a well-mannered girl who would make a great addition to just about any family ready for the commitment. Puff is such an amazing girl and she is oh-so excited for her fur-ever family, if you think that might be you, submit an adoption application today!   Puff's adoption fee is $350.   Apply to adopt here!  https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/   Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org. May 6, 2024, 2:22 pm
