Snickerdoodle was born on August 9, 2025. He is a Doxy mix who was adopted by an 80-year-old woman that had never had a dog before. Through no fault of his own he was given to us to find a new forever home. Snickerdoodle loves to play with his toys and would be happy as the only dog or as a companion for another dog. He does like to be the dominant dog of the bunch. Snickerdoodle loves to take a nap on your lap and get lots of pets, and he sleeps in his crate at night. He is used to using wee wee pads to go potty and is starting to go outside to do his business. Snickerdoodle would do best with children over the age of eight only because he can be a little bit mouthy while playing. He just needs consistency with training to teach him how to have a soft mouth and to work on basic commands. He would make a wonderful companion to anyone’s family. Snickerdoodle is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, dewormed, and microchipped. 7/7/25: This sweet girl came into the Animal Shelter as a stray, just about to burst with pups and not fully mobile on all four legs. She is being seen by a vet to determine the best way to deliver the pups. She will become available as soon as all her pups are whelped and weaned, anticipated to be early to mid-September. But you don't have to wait until then...if you are interested in this girl, fill out an application. Our goal is that as soon as she is done being supermom, she has her own place to land right away! She deserves to be pampered and cuddled for the rest of her life!

George came into us from another rescue. One of their advocates was able to rescue him on the street and take care of all of the medical to get him healthy. But they found that he was extremely fearful and they did not have the proper situation for him to try to work through his fear. He came to our rescue in the middle of May 2023. He is terrified of being touched. We are not sure if it was caused by abuse or if he's never experienced human touch. After working with him it's very clear that he would love to be loved he is just unsure how to proceed. He will need an adult who is patience and understanding with him but also confident enough to give him direction so that he can feel supported while working through his fears. A home with no children is recommended and he does really well with small confident and kind dogs.
