Katie is a low-rider with a larger-than-life personality! This adorable, long-haired Dachshund mix was rescued from the euthanasia list at Rancho Cucamongo with a broken hip and 2 fractured legs, likely from being hit by a car. Fully recovered now, Katie's a happy-go-lucky girl who’s always on the move and ready for fun. She is packed with spunk, charm, and just the right amount of sass. Katie is great with kids and other dogs, and she absolutely lives for playtime. Her favorite game? Tug-of-war! She’ll race you to the toy bin, pick out her prize, and show off her skills with pride. She’s also a bit of a goofball who loves being the boss (in the cutest way possible), and she’ll keep you smiling with her hilarious antics and energetic spirit. If you’re looking for a sweet, funny, and endlessly entertaining companion, Katie is your girl. She’s spayed, micro-chipped, vaccinated and house trained (but will need some help in a new environment). Look for the info card in Spokes’ photos to learn more about him! Apply at Pupculturerescue.org/adopt Spokes came to us after being euthanasia listed at the shelter, where he was brought in as a stray and already paralyzed. He had wounds covering his legs from dragging around on pavement and was in terrible condition. That was back in April - and since then he has been incredibly loved and cared for in his foster home. Spokes is the absolute sweetest pup. He gets along with everyone! Like most paralyzed dogs, Spokes is incontinent and needs external pressure on his bladder to urinate. He defecates on a schedule. His care is simple and straightforward once in a routine. Our hope is that one day Spokes will learn to spinal walk. Spinal walking is a reflexive form of walking that the body can learn to do after severe spinal cord injury. He is doing GREAT in physical therapy (showing early signs of walking in hydrotherapy) which we will continue to fund until the money we raised for him runs out, even if he finds a forever home before then. Spokes is available for adoption. He's going to need an experienced owner as he growls and snaps quite a bit at other dogs, and people. He doesn't like cats. No young children, and he may do best as the only dog in the home. Jasmine came into rescue from the shelter. She was found as a stray. About 12 years old, and 24 pounds. Definitely needs to lose weight. She had many mammary tumors, and had surgery to remove all her mammary glands. Thank goodness it wasn't cancer, and she has recovered well, and looking for her quiet forever home. Jasmine would be the perfect companion for a retired person or couple. No young children. She's fine with other dogs. Just sleeps most of the time.
