Story
Rae is a shy but sweet girl, who loves nothing more than to play and be with you once she settles in! She is a bit shy at first and will need a bit of time to warm up to new people in a new home, but is full of cuddles, play and love once she gets to know you!!! She does great with other dogs in her foster home, is non reactive around cats, and is doing great with crate training. Since she is just a youngster still, she will need a family with lots of patience and willingness to work with puppy training to help him gain some confidence and skills needed to become the best canine citizen she can be!

Story
** If you are interested in adopting Holly, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Holly is a 1-year-old Dachshund mix (possibly a Chiweenie!) weighing in at just 15 lbs of pure sweetness. Her journey hasn’t been the easiest—she was found wandering the streets of New Mexico, dragging a long, rusted chain behind her, still clipped to her collar. It turns out her previous owner kept her chained up outside day and night (we’re wondering the same thing: what’s the point of having a dog if you treat them like that?!). Thankfully, Holly found her way to freedom and never looked back. When her former owner asked the about getting her back, the shelter knew better—and instead, Holly was given a one-way ticket to Colorado and a second chance at a real life. Now she’s ready to find a family who will never dream of leaving her outdoors, chained up. One who will welcome her onto the couch for movie nights, let her snuggle in their lap, and give her a cozy dog bed to call her own. Holly is loving, gentle, and sweet with people—and she gets along great with other dogs too! If you’re ready to give Holly the life she’s always deserved, she’s ready to have it! Holly is a blank slate just waiting for a kind and patient human to show her the way. With positive reinforcement training, she has all the potential in the world to be a loyal, well-mannered adult companion. She’ll thrive with virtual or in-person force-free training classes, which will help strengthen her bond with her humans and build her confidence. Holly is up to date on her vaccinations, dewormed, heartworm negative, and is spayed. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. Applications are currently being accepted for our wonderful pup. If interested in this gorgeous, very cuddly/sweet and loving best friend, please fill out an application completely at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.

Story
** If you are interested in adopting Baja, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Baja is a sweet, short legged, long bodied, little guy. He is believed to be a Dachshund / Chihuahua mix. Baja is 1 year old and 18 lbs. Baja was found as a stray in Arkansas and now is cozy in a foster home in Boulder, getting ready to start his new life. While he was picked up as a stray, his foster thinks he's had a home at some point. From Baja's foster: * * * * "Baja is such a good boy! We have had lots of people over in the time he has been here and he has been friendly to everyone. (Teenagers included!) He does well on leash and enjoys going for walks. He gets along great with our dog Henry and briefly met my sister's dog and he was very friendly to him as well. He seems totally unfazed by my chickens. I think he would be okay with cats like the Arkansas foster said. He whines a little when he sees my cat and seems a tad nervous but curious about them. He doesn't seem aggressive, just curious. He is just a really nice, mellow dog. Hasn't barked much. He does pick things up like shoes and moves them around. I don't think he has chewed on any of them but I trade him for a dog toy and he likes to carry those around too. Seems like he is potty trained, but we have also been hanging outside frequently. He has been sleeping great in our bedroom near our bed in a puppy pen. He loves to give kisses and likes pets, but isn't demanding about getting attention. He's a good one!" * * * * We don’t know if Baja has had any formal training, but a (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class will help him build confidence, bond with his new family, and master good manners. Training is essential for a successful adoption, and Farfel’s is happy to provide a list of recommended force-free trainers to set him up for success. Baja has been fully vetted, is up to date on vaccines, and neutered. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. Story
** If you are interested in adopting Bernard, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Meet Bernard! Bernard is a sweet, low-to-the-ground little guy with a charming mix of soft eyes, stubby legs, and a heart ready for a second chance. Bernard was rescued from a dog hoarding & abandonment case in Arkansas, and brought into a sad, scary, outdoor shelter. We knew we had to get him out of there and were eager to get him to Colorado! When Bernard arrived to CO, we couldn't believe how CUTE (and short!) he was! Bernard is believed to be a Dachshund / Lab mix, but likely has multiple different breeds in his DNA mix! At 2 years old and just 28 lbs and with the stature of a small dog, (and stubby little legs!) Bernard is adjusting beautifully to life in foster care after being rescued from such a sad situation. From Bernard's foster: "Bernard is gentle, friendly, and especially patient with my pre-teen kids. He loves a good belly rub, and snuggling. While he’s still learning to walk on leash, he’s making great progress and is eager to please! Bernard gets along great with other dogs, and loves to play!" Bernard is looking for a forever family who will give him the love and stability he’s never known—and in return, he’ll offer plenty of affection, tail wags, and belly-up moments of joy. We don’t know if Bernard has had any formal training, but a (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class will help him build confidence, bond with his new family, and master good manners. Training is essential for a successful adoption, and Farfel’s is happy to provide a list of recommended force-free trainers to set him up for success. Story
*We will not be hosting an adoption event on Saturday, June 21. Instead, we will offer private appointments for approved applicants this week. Contact us to learn more!* Meet Talos! She’s a happy, energetic pup who loves to explore and play with other dogs. Talos is kennel trained and currently working on potty training and home etiquette. Talos is full of joy and ready for a fun-loving home! Talos is a 6-month-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $600 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, and spay. Talos is also tested with other dogs, cats, and children. She is working on potty and kennel training in foster care. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if she might be a good fit for your home. The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!) Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed. Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525). For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772, or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned. Thank you for choosing adoption! If you would like more information on our organization please visit our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org.
