Story
** If you are interested in adopting Hank, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Look at this sweet, stumpy legged little boy! Hank is an adorable Chiweenie (a Dachshund / Chihuahua mix). Hank is 1 and a half years old, and 10 lbs. Hank was found in Texas, hanging out in a park. He walked right up to the women who found him, and happily strolled with her to the shelter. Hank was put on a stray hold to see if anyone would come to reclaim him, and no one ever did! Hank booked his ticket to Colorado from there to find his perfect forever home. Hank aced his temperment testing, and is a very friendly little boy with both dogs and people. We'd like to place Hank in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and love. A (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a young guy whose self-esteem will fly high while he masters his skills. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Hank has been fully vetted, is in great health, and up to date on his vaccines. He was not able to be neutered prior to his transport to Colorado, and since the transport can be stressful we are wanting to give him time to settle in before neutering. Neuter is required to be done within one month of Hank's adoption date, and required to finalize any adoption. We do cover the full cost of his neuter. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. If you are interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ . **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application.

Story
** If you are interested in adopting Sadie, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Meet Sadie! Sadie found herself in a small shelter in New Mexico, where no dog should ever be. Sadie was noticed for being super friendly (and just adorable!) and we were reached out to to help her. Sadie is believed to be 1 year old and she's just 10 lbs. She is a gorgeous, silly Chiweenie (Dachshund / Chihuahua). Sadie is dog friendly, sweet with people, and stands on her hind legs for treats! We don't know if Sadie has had any formal training. A (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a young dog whose self-esteem will fly high while she masters her skills. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Our training requirement is to help every adoption be successful. Sadie has been fully vetted, and is up to date on her vaccines. She is not yet spayed, although spay is an adoption requirement. Farfel's Rescue covers the cost of her spay at our rescue vet, and this must be done within one month of going into her new home. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. Story
** If you are interested in adopting Pickles, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Pickles is a sweet boy, looking for his forever home. Pickles had a home, but they dumped him at a high-kill shelter in Houston. Pickles is a gorgeous boy, with his long orange and white coat. He is believed to be a Dachshund, with some Pomeranian in the mix. Pickles is 2 years old, and 20 lbs. Pickle's is a sweet boy, very friendly, and great with other dogs. His previous owners who dumped him at the shelter did make sure to let them know that he doesn't like his face being touched. (Me either, Pickles!) We'd like to place Pickles in a home where he'll get consistent enrichment, exercise and love. A positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence. Story
Ellie is a 2-3 year old short legged, long bodied cutie weighing about 30lbs.  Ellie was dumped at a shelter in New Mexico with her six babies.  Overcrowded shelters in this partilcar area are very unsafe for pups, especially unvaccinated pups.  Ellie worked so hard to keep her puppie healthy and safe, she was suuuch a good Momma.  By the time we were able to find the fosters to get her and her pups from the shelter, two of them had passed away, most likely from intestinal parasites, which is 100% preventable, if only treated.  While broken hearted, we felt lucky that we were able to save the four that we did and we could tell Momma Ellie was very grateful too.  Ellie has now been in a foster home on her own for a few weeks and is ready to find her forever family.  Here is what her foster Momma has to say about her: "Ellie is a sweet, shy girl that loves treats and snuggles.  She is still a little nervous with everything she has been through, but she has been learning how to be a dog at her foster home and it is so fun to watch her grow and learn each day.  Ellie has learned that the crate isnt scary because of the yummy treats she gets, she is very food motivated.  She would do well with another dog around her size to learn from, love, and play with.  Ellie loves bed time and snuggles close with her foster Momma and the other dogs all night.  She has the cutest smile when shes really happy and getting love and pets.  She will make an absolutely wonderful companion for someone" If you are interested in adopting Ellie, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##2034602##

Story
Introducing your new best friend, Auggie! He’s a 3 month old mutt! Maybe a dachshund? Maybe a beagle? We don’t really know! But he is 100% the goodest boy there ever was! He has the cutest white socks on his feet, with a paint dipped tail, a long body and is heavy weight champ coming in at 13 lbs! He’s not light on his feet and has discovered his voice (no shared walls please)! He would love another dog to play with so he can be the pesty little brother he thrives to be! Cats aren’t suggested unless they are dog savvy since he likes to chase them… really anything that runs he will chase. Auggie will sleep in his kennel at night BUT his favorite spot is in your bed and sharing your pillow! Who’s looking for a short stack? Auggie is being fostered in Westminister, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/auggie/. You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.
