Don’t let his tiny size fool you — this little dachshund mix puppy is full of love. Around 4 months old, he’s deaf, but that doesn’t slow him down one bit. He unfortunately found himself in an overrun shelter in Texas. We couldn't say no to his cute face. He’s a total sweetheart who loves people, cuddles, and following his humans around with his adorable puppy confidence. He may experience the world a little differently, but he’s just as playful, smart, and loving as any other puppy — and honestly, maybe even more special. He’s looking for a patient, kind home ready to help him grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. ##2744552##

We estimate Mork was born in 2011, and Columbo in 2014. Columbo has pulmonary hypertension and chronic bronchitis and has chronic cough/wheezing. The next step medically is to try an inhaler (we have one on order). He is on sildenafil (and also Reconcile for mild anxiety). He was missing an eye at time of adoption. Mork requires a special diet to prevent crystals in his urine. He has funny deformed feet! He recently had a dental. They have lived with a variety of cats and other dogs, and both have spent time in doggy daycare. They never met a person they didn't like, and have been comfortable with the children they've met. They LOVE to cuddle with you under the blankets, and cuddle each other. If not carefully managed, they will urinate inside, so we have used baby gates, kennels, and belly bands to help prevent. They bark at mealtime, but are not reactive to doorbells or people. They just need a sweet retirement home! All records and a few months of supplies will be given.

She is 2 years old, spayed, kennel and potty trained, knows her basic commands. Would do best in a home with no other dogs (has never been around cats) and no children (at least younger than 13 years old). She is a little nervous with new people but once she warms up she will be on your lap giving you kisses. She loves to snuggle and sleep under the blankets. Not food aggressive, very gentle when taking treats, grazes throughout the day. She loves to play with toys and go for walks, would love a very active new parent. She will give you the goofiest howl greeting when you come home or when she is waking up. She truly is a sweet girl and has so much potential she just needs an environment that is more conducive to her needs so she can thrive!  June 5, 2026, 7:22 pm
