Story
Meet Marisol Female DOB: March 29, 2026 Weight: 12 lbs (current — still growing) medium sized Expected Size: Small to Medium when fully grown Breed: Terrier Mix Spayed (Fixed): Pending (age-appropriate) Vaccines: Pending (age-appropriate) Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Marisol is a sweet and affectionate little puppy with a playful personality and loving spirit. At this young age, she is still discovering the world around her and enjoys cuddles, companionship, toys, playtime, and exploring new experiences with curiosity and excitement. She has a happy puppy energy while also loving closeness and affection from her people. Marisol is still very young and growing, making this an especially important stage for confidence-building, socialization, structure, and positive experiences that will help shape her into a happy and well-balanced adult dog. As a growing Terrier mix puppy, Marisol will likely mature into an intelligent, engaging companion with lots of personality and strong bonds with her family. Terrier mixes are often known for being affectionate, clever, energetic dogs who thrive with interaction, companionship, and enrichment. Marisol is expected to stay in the small-to-medium size range as an adult. Marisol would thrive in a home prepared for: Ongoing puppy training and supervision Daily exercise, playtime, and enrichment Structure, consistency, and routine Positive socialization and engagement A lifelong commitment to her emotional and physical well-being Puppies are adorable, but they are also a major responsibility requiring patience, supervision, training, and long-term commitment throughout every stage of life. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue puppies come from uncertain beginnings and may not have had structure, socialization, or training before arriving at rescue. Even very young puppies require significant guidance and supervision to properly learn how to navigate life in a home environment. Puppies are not automatically trained simply because they are young. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, basic structure, and socialization, adopters should expect to continue all training and development after adoption. Adopting a puppy means being prepared for: Potty training and accidents Teething and chewing phases Crate training and leash training Nighttime wakeups and supervision Jumping, barking, and playful puppy behavior Ongoing socialization and confidence-building Daily exercise, enrichment, and structure Routine veterinary visits and vaccine boosters Financial commitment throughout the dog’s lifetime Because Marisol is still very young and small, extra care should also be taken around: Larger animals Rough play Stairs and jumping Unsafe chewing hazards Open doors or unsecured outdoor spaces Marisol will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Daily structure and routine Continued socialization and exposure Mental stimulation and enrichment Patience, consistency, and supervision Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, guidance, and commitment, puppies like Marisol grow into wonderful lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a puppy is a lifelong commitment that includes training, exercise, routine veterinary care, financial responsibility, and emotional commitment throughout every stage of life. Marisol will need: Ongoing puppy training and guidance Routine veterinary visits and vaccine boosters Preventative care including flea, tick, and heartworm prevention Proper nutrition and growth monitoring Daily exercise, enrichment, and companionship A safe, stable, indoor living environment Puppies require regular veterinary care throughout their first year, including booster vaccines, wellness exams, and spay surgery when age-appropriate. Because Marisol is still very young, adopters should also be prepared for the normal puppy phases that come with growing and learning, including chewing, teething, accidents, testing boundaries, and continued social development. Marisol is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside. Adoption Information If you are interested in adopting this wonderful puppy, please complete an adoption application by visiting: https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions Thank you for considering adoption through Ozzie and Friends Rescue, a Los Angeles–based rescue dedicated to giving dogs a second chance at a loving home. Our team carefully reviews every application and will reach out to help match you with the right dog for your home and lifestyle. You may be seeing our dogs listed in multiple states because we work hard to give as many of our rescue dogs as possible the opportunity to be seen by loving families beyond our local area. While we are based in Los Angeles, we expand our reach throughout the Western United States and the Midwest to help more dogs find the forever homes they deserve. We understand that transportation and adoption fees can sometimes feel like a big commitment, and we truly appreciate every person who considers opening their heart and home to a rescue dog. Our goal is simply to give these dogs the best chance at being seen, adopted, and loved. Ozzie and Friends Rescue coordinates safe and reliable transport so adopted dogs can travel to their new homes across the Western United States, Canada, and the Midwest. We can’t wait to help you meet your next fur-ever best friend.June 27, 2026, 11:28 am

Story
Sly is a 3.5MO little Dachshund/Chi mix weighing about 8lbs.  Their breed is a guess as we can't be certain.  We are guessing Sly will be about 15-20lbs when full grown.  Sly and his 3 siblings, along with his Momma, were part of a hoarding case in Texas.  There were over 40 dogs in the home and the small local shelter needed help finding places for the dogs to go.  We were able to help this sweet Momma and her 3 puppies.  They have now been in Colorado for a few weeks and are ready to find their very own forever families. Sly is a little shy at first, but oh so sweet.  He warms up quickly and wants nothing more than to be loved.  He gets along great with other dogs big and small, and all humans.  His socialization is coming along great and gets gaining confidence every day. He would do great in a home with another dog, or with someone who has lots of time to raise a puppy.  He will be the perfect size for daily walks/hikes/adventures, AND to be the perfect little lap-dog/snuggle buddy. Story
** If you are interested in adopting Cooper, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Cooper is a 5 year old, 14 pound Dachshund / Chihuahua mix. (That is an educated guess, as we do not DNA test rescue dogs). Cooper is s a very goofy, friendly, sweet, little guy!! He is good with other dogs, cats, and loves people and getting and giving affection. From Cooper's foster: "He is doing well!! He is a very sweet boy who wants all the attention. He is mainly potty trained with an accident here and there. He doesn't really bark much and is easy on the leash. He sleeps all night on bed with me and the cats! He is happy and nice meeting other dogs. His appetite is good, but I have a feeling he could get a little chonky if not keeping in check as he is very food motivated. He is friendly when meeting new people too." At just 14 pounds, Cooper is the perfect size for adventures big and small. Whether its neighborhood walks, playtime with doggy friends, or cuddling up on the couch after a busy day, Cooper is ready to be your loyal sidekick. We'd like to place Cooper in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and love. A (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Cooper is up to date on his vaccinations, has been fully vetted, is healthy, heartworm negative, and is neutered. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out 400 dogs each year. Applications are currently being accepted for our wonderful pup. If interested in this gorgeous, very cuddly/sweet and loving best friend, please fill out an application completely at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.

Story
Don’t let his tiny size fool you — this little dachshund mix puppy is full of love. Around 4 months old, he’s deaf, but that doesn’t slow him down one bit. He unfortunately found himself in an overrun shelter in Texas. We couldn't say no to his cute face. He’s a total sweetheart who loves people, cuddles, and following his humans around with his adorable puppy confidence. He may experience the world a little differently, but he’s just as playful, smart, and loving as any other puppy — and honestly, maybe even more special. He’s looking for a patient, kind home ready to help him grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. ##2744552##

Cooper is a tripod, having his right rear leg amputated after an injury but it doesn't slow him down one bit! He is full of puppy energy and has done well with crate and house training in his foster home.
