This adorable 9-month-old black-and-white Dachshund mix came to us from another shelter, so her past is a mystery. What we do know is that her future is full of promise. Since arriving here, Malory has captured the hearts of staff and volunteers with her sweet nature, goofy personality, and joyful spirit. Malory is a delightful mix of puppy curiosity and gentle sensitivity. She loves life and wants to be part of the fun, but she can also be a little shy and unsure of herself in new situations. Give her a little patience and a few tasty treats, and you`ll quickly see her confidence begin to bloom. Everyone who meets Malory comments on what a sweet girl she is. She loves being petted, enjoys affection, and happily comes when called. She likes toys, enjoys exploring, and has the playful energy you`d expect from a young dog. Her silly moments and happy little antics are guaranteed to bring laughter and smiles to her future family. Malory is also treat-motivated, which will help her continue building confidence and learning new things. She generally walks well on a leash, though there are times when her nervous side appears and she needs a little reassurance. Because she`s still learning who her people are and gaining confidence in the world around her, we recommend that her adopters use a secure harness while she settles into her new home. The best thing about Malory isn`t her adorable face or her playful personality. It`s her heart. Beneath her shy moments is a loving, affectionate little dog who simply wants to feel safe, loved, and part of a family. Malory is ready for a home where she can continue growing into the confident, happy dog she`s meant to be. Hershey spent her whole life with her family that adored her. A heartbreaking chapter occurred when her family was no longer able to care for Hershey and searched for a no-kill shelter where she would be safe. At [age] old, Hershey still acts like a young pup that enjoys zoomies and walks. She loves people including kids, but does need to be the only pet in a home. She is excellent at playing fetch and does this cute little dance when she gets excited. She is a [weight] Chihuahua with a beautiful chocolate coat. She is potty trained, crate trained and loves to snuggle. She will pull on the leash if she sees another dog walking past, but is easily corrected. Hershey has a couple senior "beauty marks" that the veterinarian said are not concerning and is in overall good health plus she is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is just looking to be loved again and bring joy to a new home!! Rose and her siblings arrived at Abandoned Pet Rescue with their mom Bambi when they were just hours old. They were raised with their mom in a loving foster home, and now that they are about 9-weeks-old, they are ready to find their forever homes. There are four females and one male. A DNA test shows that the puppies are 51% Golden Retriever, and their mom is a tan Dachshund / Chihuahua mix. Their mom weighs about 20lbs, but we do expect them to be medium-size dogs based on the DNA results. The pups are just starting to learn potty training and crate training so a home that has the time and commitment for raising a puppy is important. They are all healthy, loving pups that are already microchipped, vaccinated and will be spayed/neutered before adoption. Meet Buster! Buster was found as a scared timid stray who likely never knew what a home was. Although he can be a little timid or shy at first, once he realizes he's safe, he quickly shows his true sweet and gentle personality. He is a cuddly boy who loves belly rubs and affections (but don't expect this the second you meet him because he does take some time to warm up - could be an hr or even a few days, but he DOES get there quite quickly) . He gets along well with other dogs and although not cat tested in doors, he didn't care about stray cats. He truly is going to blossom in a forever home!
