Story
Noah is the sweetest and happiest little guy. He has been through so much - abandoned, hit and left to suffer and die on the side of the road, FHO (femoral head ostectomy) and surgery to repair his femur so he could walk again, therapy -- just so much for this little dude, and through it all, he has never been anything but sweet and loving. We have been hoping for a foster home where he will be able to continue his recovery and we are so thankful that a wonderful and compassionate foster has asked to take him and will provide sweet little Noah with the comfortable home environment he needs to complete his healing process - and of course, get lots of love. Story
Pina is a 1 year old female. She weighs 13 pounds. Pina is good with other dogs. She came from a hoarder house and is a weirdo. She’s not at all aggressive, but the inbreeding that happened in that house was hard on her. She likes to be pet, but gets scared of hands sometimes. Her eyes are structurally not correct and she’s been like that since birth. She can see, but mostly shadows and light and dark. She is crate trained and likes to know how things go, a strict schedule isn’t necessary, but her place to eat and sleep should be consistent. Sometimes she runs in circles, but she isn’t bothered by it She will need a patient family, but she is well worth it! Truman is a 9 year old 17 pound boy. Came to us with a mouthful of rotten teeth and huge lymph nodes. His impressive tongue has only one tooth to try to wrangle it and it’s not doing a very good job. He’s good with people big and small and all other dogs. He’s such a happy boy! He is not good with cats. Story
Benjamin was found on the street by a good samaritan. He had a leg that was hurt and they took him to the vet. The surgery was too expensive and he was taken to Miami Dade Animal Services. He was there for a few days and could only walk on 3 legs. He was rescued by IPAW and got fully vetted. He had his tibia surgery, got neutered, and is up to date on shots and prevention. Benjamin was in a home with a larger female dog and did well. We think he would do better alone or with a larger female. He didn’t do well with cats in the home. He chased them and was aggressive. He wasn’t playful. He also met a male basset hound and that didn’t go well either. He does need some training but is housebroken. He would also do better with older children, not young children.
