Brooklyn is a one year old Chiweenie (Chihuahua/Dachshund mix).  30 pounds- and yes, she needs to be on a diet!  Good with other dogs and all the people she meets, including children.  Adopter will be required to have her spayed and brought up to date on her vaccines and testing. Brooklyn is in our direct-from owner program.  Chesed Rescue will background and vet check all applicants and adoption will be directly from the owner.  There will be no adoption fee, though donations to the rescue are appreciated. Hershey spent 11 years of her life with her family that adored her. A heartbreaking chapter occurred when the mother of the family passed away and then the family fell on hard financial times. They were no longer able to care for Hershey and searched for a no-kill shelter where she would be safe. Hershey still acts like a young pup that enjoys zoomies and walks. She loves people including kids, but does need to be the only pet in a home. She is a 20lb Chihuahua with a beautiful chocolate coat. She has a couple senior warts that aren’t concerning and is in overall great health plus spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is well behaved in a home and is just looking to be loved again and bring joy to a new home!! Rylo and Sophie are an adorable bonded brothersister duo who are 6-year-old Rat terrier/Dachshund mixes who come as a perfectly matched pair. They are very affectionate, mellow, and friendly. They are dog and cat friendly and housebroken! They were living in an auto body shop outside in a dirty cage. When rescued there wasnt any clean water around. They were covered in grease and dirt. They have adjusted amazingly to living in a home. $600 Adoption fee for both includes vaccines, spay/neuter, dental, bloodwork, heartworm test, deworming, and microchip. 10 year old 16 pound dachshund mix from Puerto Rico  Pepe came to us with a badly broken leg, horrible teeth and heartworm positive.  His leg was unable to be saved, but he gets around great on three legs. He loves to go for walks and has his very own stroller for when he’s rather ride than walk.  He is good with kids, adults and other dogs.
