Story
Dior is a fun little chiweenie boy, about 3 years old.  He loves to play and gets along well with other small dogs.  He seems to like all people but gets a little nervous when there is too big a crowd.  He has some minor anxiety issues, which we think can be worked through with a little training.  Dior also needs to be brought up on his medical with updated vaccines and a neuter.   He is currently with his original owners and will be adopted directly from them.  There will be no adoption fee (though donations to the rescue are always appreciated), but adopter will have to neuter and vaccinate.  Chesed Rescue will be taking applications and running background and vet checks and facilitating the adoption. Applications for Dior (and his sister, Mia) are available at  www.chesed-rescue.org.April 11, 2024, 8:26 pm

Story
Noah is the sweetest and happiest little guy. He has been through so much - abandoned, hit and left to suffer and die on the side of the road, FHO (femoral head ostectomy) and surgery to repair his femur so he could walk again, therapy -- just so much for this little dude, and through it all, he has never been anything but sweet and loving. We have been hoping for a foster home where he will be able to continue his recovery and we are so thankful that a wonderful and compassionate foster has asked to take him and will provide sweet little Noah with the comfortable home environment he needs to complete his healing process - and of course, get lots of love. Story
Pina is a 1 year old female. She weighs 13 pounds. Pina is good with other dogs. She came from a hoarder house and is a weirdo. She’s not at all aggressive, but the inbreeding that happened in that house was hard on her. She likes to be pet, but gets scared of hands sometimes. Her eyes are structurally not correct and she’s been like that since birth. She can see, but mostly shadows and light and dark. She is crate trained and likes to know how things go, a strict schedule isn’t necessary, but her place to eat and sleep should be consistent. Sometimes she runs in circles, but she isn’t bothered by it She will need a patient family, but she is well worth it! If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the DRSF Online Adoption form.My adoption fee covers all my (prior) vet care (adopter receives vet records).  For more information refer to the DRSF Adoption Fee page.If you have any questions about adoption or want more info, you can email: info@dachshundrescuesouthflorida.comApril 23, 2024, 2:39 pm
