Story
This handsome little guy is a 26-pound Plott Hound mix with the cutest ears, an always-wagging tail, and the perfect size for just about any adventure—or a cozy night on the couch. He was sadly found abandoned outside a Publix, but he’s left that chapter behind and is ready to find the loving family he deserves. He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give him just a few minutes and you’ll have a loyal shadow by your side. He’s dog-friendly, enjoys hanging out with canine friends, and has a sweet, gentle personality that’s impossible not to love. Whether you’re looking for a walking buddy, a road trip companion, or a couch snuggler, he’s happy to fit the role. If you’ve been searching for a medium-sized pup with a big heart, floppy ears, and endless potential, this adorable boy is ready to meet you. All he needs now is a family to call his own. An application to adopt is required and can be found on our website under the our dogs section or adopt section at kibblezoflove.org.  The adoption fee is $350 The age requirement to adopt is 25+ years old.   All dogs are spayed or neutered, chipped and UTD on hw and flea preventative and all age appropriate vaccines.  ##2808449##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. {s1550code1114/} {s1550code1111/} {s1550code1113/} Walter personality info: He is a sweet, affectionate, and well-mannered companion who loves being around his people. He gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and does well with both adults and children. He was also cat-tested at the shelter, to the best of my recollection.   He loves getting pets and attention and is always happy to go for a walk. He is pee-pad trained and, when a person accompanies him to the fenced-in backyard, he will happily go pee and poop outside. He loves running and playing in the fenced yard, but prefers having his person with him rather than being outside alone.   He is a total sweetheart when it comes to his people and gets incredibly excited whenever his person comes home—even if they’ve only been gone for a minute! Whether you’ve been away for a few minutes or several hours, he’ll greet you like you’ve been gone forever.   He is well behaved and does not destroy things, making him a wonderful companion in the home. When it’s time to relax, he prefers to sleep tucked underneath a cozy comforter. He understands the commands “No,” “Stay,” “Sit,” and “Up.” Overall, he is a loving, affectionate dog who enjoys walks, playtime, cuddles, and simply being close to his person.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 23, 2026, 12:01 am

Story
**All adoptions include a home visit. You must live in Broward or Palm Beach County. Bubbly, bold, and built for adventure, Brookie is a 2-year-old Dachshund with a smile that lights up every room and a personality that fills up the rest of it. She is full of herself, expressive, affectionate, and absolutely convinced that she is the most interesting thing happening in any given space. She is usually right. Brookie is currently 18 pounds and working her way toward her ideal weight of 13-15 pounds, and she has decided this is less a diet and more a lifestyle upgrade. She loves to walk with the kind of enthusiasm that makes you want to step up your own fitness a bit too, and she is looking for a partner who will show up for her daily. In return, she will show up for you in every way a small, devoted dog possibly can.  Brookie knows how to keep herself entertained, and she is not shy about asking for help when she needs it. She will toss her toys around solo for a while, and then march right over and drop one in your lap as a not-so-subtle invitation to get in on a game of fetch. She is warm, engaged, and deeply interested in the people she loves. She will burrow under the blankets for the night, giving her people disturbance-free sleep, and she has the Dachshund's famous loyalty and sharp, curious intelligence, the kind that keeps her always watching, always learning, and always ready to be exactly where you are. Brookie has the classic long, low Doxie silhouette, and she carries it well. A set of pet steps by her favorite couch or bed and a home without long daily stair climbs are just part of keeping a girl with that shape comfortable and thriving for years to come, small, easy touches that become second nature fast. She is ready to find her person, apply now, and get to work on the best chapter of her life. Brookie's adoption fee is $500, which goes directly toward her vetting (vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm/Ehrlichia/Lyme test, fecal test, pre-op blood work, dental cleaning, and microchip, as well as grooming if needed). If you are interested, please fill out the adoption application. For additional information regarding our adoption process, please check our FAQ's Page.  All dogs in the care of Get a Life Pet Rescue live in loving foster homes while waiting for their perfect match. They are never kept in cages or crates unless there is a medical reason, and they are treated as family pets throughout their time with us. Our rescues are fed premium-brand holistic wet food diets along with supplements and vitamins tailored to each dog's individual needs. Every dog in our care receives complete quality vetting, including full dental cleaning with pre-op blood work, spay/neuter, vaccines, and grooming. Dogs requiring specialized care are seen by the appropriate specialists, including full cardiac workups, ophthalmologist visits, and biopsy of any suspicious lumps or bumps. Every medical detail is shared transparently with potential adopters. When you adopt from Get a Life Pet Rescue, you become part of our compassionate family, and we are here for you whenever you need us. ##2786320##

Story
Hi, I’m Thelma! I’m a 2-year-old, 16-pound Dachshund mix, and I’m ready to find a loving family to call my own. I was recently surrendered and found myself in a loud, crowded shelter. It was an overwhelming place for a little girl like me, but thankfully Paws Fur Recovery came to my rescue and gave me a safe place to land. I have a very sweet, gentle demeanor and love spending time with people. I really enjoy taking walks around the property, and I’m great on a leash. I’m also house trained, get along well with other dogs, and I absolutely love treats. I’ve been through a lot of changes recently, but I haven’t let that change my sweet personality. What I want most now is a family who will love me, make me feel safe, and give me the forever home I’ve been waiting for. Could you be my person? Adoption Fee: $395 Please Note: All potential adopters must be open to a home check and provide vet records to confirm that any dogs in the household are spayed/neutered and current on vaccinations. Online applications available: https://pawsfurrecovery.org/adoption-application/

Story
Chili is a very good boy. He’s quite calm for his age of 1 year and completely house trained and also crate trained. Financial hardship has brought us to decide to find him a better home where he can get his shots and hopefully a family that has more time for him. He was acquired at 8 weeks old from a breeder in Wisconsin. I have pictures of his parents as well and he is a purebred. He gets along with kids, dogs, cats and all animals.
