Story
We interviewed Porkbun for her adoption biography to help her find the perfect retirement home. This is how it went… GBP: “So Porkbun, what is your age and weight?” PB: “Well thats rude to ask a lady.” *followed by some displeased barks and rumbles* GBP: “alright we can skip that one and leave it to the adopter’s imagination” PB: “No one better be imagining I weigh more than I do. I need a nap I’m done with this interview!” *Porkbun scurries away at an impressive speed for such short legs. She then dives into a soft, cuddly bed in a room that is empty of people and quiet.* As you can gather from her interview, Porkbun isnt the most social old lady, but if you are someone she’s familiar with- she’ll show off her silly and spunky side with delight. Off the record, we’d guess she’s about 8-10 years old and weighs under 15 lbs. Sure she’s got a spunky side but she’s got plenty of great qualities that make her a true gem. Porkbun Highlights: loves her crate // ok being alone could live with cats tolerant of mature dogs food motivated  lower energy  likes a brisk leash walk reserved but silly once she is comfortable  Porkbun’s foster mom can’t say enough about how easy she’s been. She will make a great addition to a chill household. __________________Fostered in MA If you or someone you know is interested in learning more- submit an application to set up a phone call with one of our matchmakers Adoption Application Here www.galsbestpal.com/adoption Not ready to make the adoption commitment?  We are always looking for fosters! Story
Hi, my name is Manny & although I look cute & cuddly as can be, do not be fooled! I can be the biggest jerk when you first get me home. I will try to establish dominance & resource guard my person. BUT here is the thing - put me in my place & I will be your BEST friend & your BEST snuggler! I NEED a home with an experienced dachshund owner. I am very loving & sweet with people & I love to burrow & cuddle with my people. I enjoy evenings or nap times burrowed under a blanket with my person on the couch. I also love to play with other dogs & hang out with them as well. I like other dogs but do not need to be placed in a home with one. I also do just fine with kitties - I ignore them. I prefer a fenced in yard as I have some energy that I would like to burn off or I need someone who will be committed to taking me on long walks every day! I am crate & house trained (like a dachshund!). No children please. I would do best also in a quiet home. I do not like a lot of commotion & can get a bit anxious. In order to set me up to succeed, my foster family has trained me to go into an xpen that they have set up in a bedroom for some down time if I get overstimulated. It works for me & keeps everyone safe. I have no issue being crated or in my pen. Right now I sleep in the pen at night but he I have 3 other foster siblings. I hope to be able to sleep in the big bed when I am placed in a home with one other pup, as I am a cuddler & would enjoy sleeping with my people. Manny is neutered, microchipped & UTD on vaccines. He has no known health issues. His adoption fee is $500. He is available for a meet & greet to an approved applicant. Manny will be coming with training as well. Please apply for him at coaldr.org if you are able to give him the home he needs.

Story
Mickey is one of Minnie's pups. He is a beautiful gray with some brown and white. Pinchy is suspected as being the father as they were found in the same hoarder home. Minnie's pups were born after she was rescued, so have been well cared for. They will be ready after Mother's Day. Two females and one male will all go to separate adopters, but will need to stay in foster care until old enough. Two year old Minnie was pregnant when she was rescued from a hoarder house in Louisiana. Mama Minnie took good care of the puppies, snuggling up with them even after weaning. Please apply at https://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp.
