Story
Hi, I’m Cadbury — a little chocolate drop of sweetness with a heart as rich as my name! 🍫My story started in Alabama, where life felt pretty uncertain for a while. Thankfully, an angel discovered me and found me the help I needed. Before I knew it, I was on my way to Minnesota, where I was welcomed into a warm foster home. Just a few days later, I delivered five beautiful, healthy puppies surrounded by love and care. It was the sweetest fresh start a girl could ask for!My puppies are growing up and heading off to their forever homes, and now I’m told it’s my turn to find a family of my very own. Here are the important details: I’m housetrained, not much of a barker (unless there’s a reason), and I can be trusted to relax at home without needing a kennel. I’m gentle, affectionate, and always happy to accept a treat or two.I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but that just means I take my friendships seriously. Once I know I’m safe, my loyal and loving personality really shines. I bond deeply with my people and promise to give back so much love.I may be a “shortie,” but I’m more athletic than I look and enjoy a good romp! Leashes aren’t my favorite invention yet, but I’m willing to cooperate when it means spending time with my people. I’m a great car rider — just give me a cozy spot and I’ll curl up for a nap. I love couch cuddles and cozy nights in, but now that spring is arriving, I’m also enjoying sunshine, fresh air, and all the exciting new smells outside. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will reward your love with devotion, cuddles, and a lifetime of friendship, I just might be your perfect match. I can’t wait to meet you! 💛🐾***FOSTER TO ADOPT*** Cadbury is in our Foster to Adopt Program because she is not yet spayed. Her spay will be coming up soon. If you are interested in adopting Cadbury, please fill out an Adoption Application. All medical needs other than her spay will be the responsibility of the Foster to Adopt home. The spay is covered by the rescue and will be done through our vets. Once the spay is complete, the adoption will be finalized. --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $400To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
Meet Fritz! A confident dachund mix with beautiful blue eyes (with a dash of brown). DOB:12.5.24 Curious and friendly, Fritz loves to seek out attention! He loves treats and will make faces to convince you to give him more. He's a smart little guy and settles in pretty quickly to new situations. He'll explore but come back to check in every couple of minutes. He was raised with another dog so he can be part of a household with other canines. Fritz had a hard start in life where he just didn't get enough food or love. He's making up for lost time! To meet Fritz apply at emotionalrescuedogs.org. He is vaccinated and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500. Emotional Rescue is devoted to helping the most desperate puppies and dogs: those searching for safety, homeless, hungry, often hurt by humans and needing care, love and comfort.  The dog you're reading about wouldn't have survived without rescue.  It has learned to trust and discovered the dog it was meant to be.  When you adopt with Emotional Rescue, you become part of our dog loving community where you can always get support and advice.  You also help the NEXT desperate dog get help at Emotional Rescue because there is now an open spot in a foster home.  You're part of a chain reaction.  Welcome to Emotional Rescue! ##2491206##

Name: Lady Jane Age: 5 years Gender: Female Breed: Beagle / Dachshund Mix Weight: 46 lbs Dog Friendly: Yes Cat Friendly: testing available upon request Child Friendly: Yes House Trained: Yes Crate Trained: Working on it, prefers to be left out  Energy Level: Low Temperament: Sweet, watchful, quiet, polite Requirement: Not rental  appropriate   Adoption Fee: $375+tax To adopt, go to:  http://www.mendingspirits.org/apply-to-adopt.html   Some dogs ask for attention… I’ve just been quietly waiting to be chosen. Hi everybody, my name is Lady Jane. I came all the way from Alabama to Minnesota in the middle of a freezing January. At first, I didn’t understand why everything had changed. I thought maybe it was temporary—that I’d be going back home soon. But little by little, I realized this was something new… a second chance at life. And even though it started out unfamiliar and cold, I’ve learned to love it here—yes, even the snow. I’m a gentle, easygoing girl who finds joy in the simple things. I love lounging in a cozy spot, but I also enjoy going on walks, especially when I can follow bunny trails or quietly watch birds in the bushes. My foster family says I’m especially cute when I do that. I’m not much of a barker—I’ll just give a soft little “hi” now and then to let you know I’m nearby. More than anything, I just want to be close to someone… to belong. From her foster: Lady Jane came from a home where she lived with her daughter and another dog, and it’s clear she’s always known love. She absolutely thrives on affection—belly rubs, gentle attention, and simply being near her people. Her floppy ears and soulful brown eyes will stop you in your tracks—and her sweet, calm nature will stay with you long after. She’s house-trained, incredibly polite, and praise-motivated. She communicates so gently—a tiny whine or a soft paw when she needs to go outside or when her water dish needs a refill. She takes a little extra time with long stairs and isn’t able to jump onto couches or people, but she doesn’t mind at all. She’s happiest just being near you, wherever you are. Lady Jane truly is the easiest kind of companion—sweet, patient, and full of quiet love. And that sad look in her photos? It doesn’t tell the whole story. Because Lady Jane hasn’t given up. She’s just been waiting—patiently, gently—for someone to see her… and finally choose her.     April 6, 2026, 4:02 pm

Story
Welcome Atom to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 3-month-old Dachshund/Chihuahua mixed puppy. Mom is Chihuahua and dad is a Dachshund. Atom is small and weighs about 5 pounds now. He fits easily in your hands. He has droopy ears and a wrinkly forehead and some big, beautiful eyes that will be hard to resist. He has a straight and a longer body. He should be 15 pounds or less full grown. He will be a small dog. Both parents were under 12 pounds. He would be best in a home where the person doesn’t work all day every day. A house with less stairs is best as well. He needs to be with his human, to be able to go places and to finish up his puppy training. He will go potty on a wee pad. He is playful and the puppies all like toys. He is the middle size in his litter. He is getting his puppy vaccines, dewormed and will be ready for neuter when he is a few weeks older or heavier. They need to weigh 5 pounds to be neutered. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older due to his small size. He could be adopted locally in Texas, where she is in the Rescue or we could work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Story
Welcome Mutz to CCPAL Rescue. Mutz is a 3-year-old Daug (Dachshund /Pug). He weighs about 12 pounds and is full grown and a nice weight. This dog came from the hoarder or overabundance of dog situation. He has an adorable underbit and has really blossomed at the Rescue. He is a quieter dog and has learned to like to be held. He is definitely a lap companion. He is playful with other dogs and has the sturdy body of the Pug. He would love to be a companion for a person that is retired, partially retired or maybe someone with a household that wants a dog with a lower energy to join in. He would be ok with a smaller condo size yard. He is learning leash manners and getting used to commotion of the Rescue. He hasn’t experienced a lot of different things so he isn’t sure yet but he is really really nice. He is not a big shedding dog. He is fine with nail trims and baths and will make some lucky family a great companion. I would say anyone moderately active would be fine for this dog. He bonds deeply and he warms up with affection nicely. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is getting vaccinations, neutered and he will be ready for his forever home soon. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200.
