Story
Meet Fritz! A confident dachund mix with beautiful blue eyes (with a dash of brown). DOB:12.5.24 Curious and friendly, Fritz loves to seek out attention! He loves treats and will make faces to convince you to give him more. He's a smart little guy and settles in pretty quickly to new situations. He'll explore but come back to check in every couple of minutes. He was raised with another dog so he can be part of a household with other canines. Fritz had a hard start in life where he just didn't get enough food or love. He's making up for lost time! To meet Fritz apply at emotionalrescuedogs.org. He is vaccinated and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500. Emotional Rescue is devoted to helping the most desperate puppies and dogs: those searching for safety, homeless, hungry, often hurt by humans and needing care, love and comfort.  The dog you're reading about wouldn't have survived without rescue.  It has learned to trust and discovered the dog it was meant to be.  When you adopt with Emotional Rescue, you become part of our dog loving community where you can always get support and advice.  You also help the NEXT desperate dog get help at Emotional Rescue because there is now an open spot in a foster home.  You're part of a chain reaction.  Welcome to Emotional Rescue! ##2491206##

Lady Jane will melt your heart with her beautiful brown eyes and eagerness to be by your side. It took her a bit to realize that she was on a new journey and not just a sleepover, but she is happy to be part of a pack and not alone in a crate.  Lady Jane came to us from a family that included her daughter and a third dog as well. It’s obvious she enjoyed being surrounded by lots of loving animals and family. She’s house-trained, praise-motivated, and has excellent house manners. She whines the tiniest bit and might paw at you when she needs to go outside. She prefers to know her people are nearby, but is OK for small amounts of time with just her foster brother for company.  She likes to explore the yard, and sometimes will just sit on the porch to take it all in. She barks just enough to let you know she’s excited to meet new folks! From Lady Jane: “My favorite place to lounge is my own lofty bed since I am unable to jump on the couch.  I enjoy going on walks and love checking out all the new smells! I scout the yard for bunnies and would probably follow my nose wherever it would lead me! The biggest challenge I have is being alone. I’m OK with my foster brother when the people leave the house, and am working on being OK in the kennel little bits at a time.  With help from my foster family I’m getting used to my improved diet and going up and down longer flights of stairs.”     February 9, 2026, 3:16 pm

Story
Meet Green Bean! 💚 This little charmer truly has it all. Green Bean is friends with everyone he meets — human and canine alike! He adores his toys, loves romping around outside, and has perfected the art of sweetly flirting with the resident senior pups. When playtime winds down, get ready for the cutest naps you’ve ever seen. Bean’s post-zoomie snoozes are the stuff of legend. This adorable lowrider sports a gorgeous brindle coat, a bright white chest, and just a hint of scruff that makes him completely irresistible. One look and you’ll be smitten — we certainly were! Green Bean sleeps comfortably in his crate near his foster mom and is doing great with potty training thanks to regular outdoor trips. He’s off to a wonderful start and ready to continue learning with his forever family. If you’re looking for a playful, loving, nap-champion sidekick, Green Bean is your guy. 💚 Green Bean is estimated to be 14 weeks old and 9 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. If you are interested in meeting this dog please complete the adoption application on our website at https://safehandsrescue.org/adoption-process/ and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting. We are also holding the following upcoming adoption events! Please note: All dogs/puppies will not be at every event, and some may find their home prior to the event. If you are interested in a specific animal, please check our Facebook page for confirmed attendance the morning of the event: https://www.facebook.com/safehandsrescue/ You do not need to have a Facebook account to check the Safe Hands Facebook page for attendance. We hope to see you at an upcoming Meet & Greet! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending!         Walter is an 8&#226&#128&#145pound Doxie mix puppy with a heart full of joy and the sweetest personality. He’s an easygoing little guy who can play nonstop or curl right up next to you for snuggles — whatever his people are doing, he’s happy to join in. He listens when called, loves everyone he meets, and gets along beautifully with dogs, cats, kids, and adults alike. He’s highly active and full of puppy energy, but he’s also gentle, even&#226&#128&#145tempered, and incredibly affectionate. Walter loves walks (especially when he can carry a stick in his mouth), enjoys bully sticks, and is always ready for a good play session. He’s smart, eager to please, and already knows “sit” and “come.” Walter is very close to being fully potty trained when kept on a consistent schedule. He walks nicely on a leash but may pull when he gets excited. He’s not crate trained yet, but he’s quiet, adaptable, and learns quickly. He doesn’t bark much, gives endless kisses, and just wants to be loved. Walter is the definition of pure joy — a happy, loving puppy who will make his forever family smile every single day. If you’re looking for a playful, gentle, affectionate little companion who’s great with everyone, Walter is ready to bring love and laughter into your home. **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  T his puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours, or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.   Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is to place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. Story
Welcome Mutz to CCPAL Rescue. Mutz is a 3-year-old Daug (Dachshund /Pug). He weighs about 12 pounds and is full grown and a nice weight. This dog came from the hoarder or overabundance of dog situation. He has an adorable underbit and has really blossomed at the Rescue. He is a quieter dog and has learned to like to be held. He is definitely a lap companion. He is playful with other dogs and has the sturdy body of the Pug. He would love to be a companion for a person that is retired, partially retired or maybe someone with a household that wants a dog with a lower energy to join in. He would be ok with a smaller condo size yard. He is learning leash manners and getting used to commotion of the Rescue. He hasn’t experienced a lot of different things so he isn’t sure yet but he is really really nice. He is not a big shedding dog. He is fine with nail trims and baths and will make some lucky family a great companion. I would say anyone moderately active would be fine for this dog. He bonds deeply and he warms up with affection nicely. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is getting vaccinations, neutered and he will be ready for his forever home soon. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
