Story
Meet Fritz! A confident dachund mix with beautiful blue eyes (with a dash of brown). DOB:12.5.24 Curious and friendly, Fritz loves to seek out attention! He loves treats and will make faces to convince you to give him more. He's a smart little guy and settles in pretty quickly to new situations. He'll explore but come back to check in every couple of minutes. He was raised with another dog so he can be part of a household with other canines. Fritz had a hard start in life where he just didn't get enough food or love. He's making up for lost time! To meet Fritz apply at emotionalrescuedogs.org. He is vaccinated and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500. Emotional Rescue is devoted to helping the most desperate puppies and dogs: those searching for safety, homeless, hungry, often hurt by humans and needing care, love and comfort.  The dog you're reading about wouldn't have survived without rescue.  It has learned to trust and discovered the dog it was meant to be.  When you adopt with Emotional Rescue, you become part of our dog loving community where you can always get support and advice.  You also help the NEXT desperate dog get help at Emotional Rescue because there is now an open spot in a foster home.  You're part of a chain reaction.  Welcome to Emotional Rescue! ##2491206##

**🐾 Meet Oliver – Your Gentle, Goofy, Future Best Friend! 🐾** Oliver is an adorable **11-week-old dachshund mix** with the sweetest little heart and the softest soulful eyes. He may start off shy when meeting new people, but give him time to warm up and you’ll discover the playful, silly pup hiding just beneath the surface! Once he feels safe, Oliver LOVES to romp around with toys, chase soft, crinkly, or squeaky things, and wiggle his tiny tail in the cutest full-body happy dance. He’s a gentle, affectionate boy who is learning to enjoy curling up next you just as much as he enjoys playtime. Oliver is also wonderfully dog-, cat-, and kid-friendly, making him a great addition to a family of any shape or size. For such a young pup, he’s doing an impressive job using potty pads, and with continued guidance he’ll only get better! What Oliver is looking for: * A patient family who will let him blossom at his own pace * An attentive, loving home where he can build confidence * Lots of reassurance, snuggles, and positive experiences - and TREATS! * Someone who appreciates a sweet, slightly shy pup with a playful streak * A family excited to continue helping him learn and grow Oliver is still a baby, so he’ll need continued training, socialization, and plenty of encouragement—but he promises to give you loyalty, love, and endless puppy joy in return. If you’re ready to help this precious boy come out of his shell and shine, Oliver can’t wait to meet you! 🐶💛 All CSHS pups are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, 4DX negative (if older than 6 months), dewormed and microchipped. Story
Meet Paige… a spunky 5 year old who is looking for a family to love and snuggle with. Paige was surrendered to us by a woman after she had been abandoned at her house for a year by a sibling. She has been an outside dog and is learning to be housed trained. She has been introduced to numerous dogs at her foster family and has had no trouble adjusting. Her favorite activity is sleeping… either in your lap, or on the back of the couch. When it’s time to go outside… she spins in circles with excitement then quickly runs outside to explore and sniff everything. She has excellent recall and comes back quickly when called if not on a leash. She is happiest when her person is near. She will make an excellent companion to anyone looking for unconditional love.*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $300).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
Welcome Mutz to CCPAL Rescue. Mutz is a 3-year-old Daug (Dachshund /Pug). He weighs about 12 pounds and is full grown and a nice weight. This dog came from the hoarder or overabundance of dog situation. He has an adorable underbit and has really blossomed at the Rescue. He is a quieter dog and has learned to like to be held. He is definitely a lap companion. He is playful with other dogs and has the sturdy body of the Pug. He would love to be a companion for a person that is retired, partially retired or maybe someone with a household that wants a dog with a lower energy to join in. He would be ok with a smaller condo size yard. He is learning leash manners and getting used to commotion of the Rescue. He hasn’t experienced a lot of different things so he isn’t sure yet but he is really really nice. He is not a big shedding dog. He is fine with nail trims and baths and will make some lucky family a great companion. I would say anyone moderately active would be fine for this dog. He bonds deeply and he warms up with affection nicely. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is getting vaccinations, neutered and he will be ready for his forever home soon. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
JINGLE AND HER BEST FRIENDS WILL BE AT A MEET AND GREET/ADOPTION EVENT ON SATURDAY DECEMBER 27 AT PET EVOLUTION 1074 GRAND, ST. PAUL 12:30 -2:30 UNLESS SHE HAS ALREADY FOUND HER FOREVER HOME. COULD THERE BE A BETTER TO CELEBRATE THE NEW YEAR THAN WITH A NEW PUPPY? JINGLE and her siblings were surrendered to PUP because the owner, who lived in a remote area, could not afford the pups and felt she could not find suitable adopters. The mommy dog is a much loved 30# ‘low rider’ with short legs (pictured). A partner organization agreed to pay for her to be spayed if PUP found homes for the puppies. The owner did a good job of socializing the pups and they arrived in good health. They are well socialized, playful and are enjoying the good life. Jingle looks like she is going to be a shortie like her mommy and we expect she will be in the mid-sized dog when she is full grown. We did DNA testing on one little boy from the litter, but the results won’t be in until mid December. Dogs from the area who have DNA testing often have 20 or more breeds and nearly always have some shepherd, husky, cattle dog, and even the largest pooches have a bit of Chihuahua. We strongly suspect Jingle has some Doxi and maybe some cattle dog in this mix. (Rumor has it that there is a male cattle dog on a neighboring ranch.) The early months are when puppy learns the social skills needed to be a skilled dog in dealing with other dogs and a good citizen in the human world. Adopters should be committed to getting puppy into lots of new and different human social situations, hearing vacuums, trucks, and rattling garbage cans, meeting people who are clapping, laughing, with hats, tools, bikes and skate boards. AND puppy needs many opportunities to meet and greet dogs of all shapes, sizes and dispositions. Just sharing a home with another dog is not as much doggie socializing as puppy needs. If good canine social skills are not learned and maintained during these early months, it will be very difficult to ever master them. Puppy play dates, trips to the pet store, puppy socialization classes and later, obedience classes are particularly important. If all this doggie time and involvement seems like a good idea, you are up for a puppy! As always, a tired dog is a good dog. Puppy has been vet checked, (she weighed 5.4# on 12-1 and is one of the smallest of the litter) is vaccinated and de-wormed. She will need two additional puppy vaccinations plus rabies at the adopter’s expense. We do place puppies outside the metro area if a firm plan for the alter surgery is in place; we do not ship. Her required alter surgery is covered by the adoption fee if it is done at 6 months at the PUP clinic. We require that she be altered at 6 months. If you are at least 21 years old and everyone in your household is on board with adopting a puppy, CALL 651-645-4370 between 7:00 am and 9:30 pm and we will return your call within 24 hours. We are pretty slow at responding to e-mail. Renters must provide proof that you are allowed to have a puppy. If you currently have a companion dog or cat please be prepared to provide a vet reference prior to adoption if requested.

Story
Meet Talia! This super sweet girl came to us as a stray, underweight and needing some TLC. She’s already blossoming at the rescue—happy, healthy, and steadily working her way up to her ideal weight! Talia is wonderful with other dogs and has been friendly with every person she’s met. She’s about 5 years old and currently weighs 16 pounds, though she should fill out closer to 20. With her adorable terrier-mix looks and likely a dozen breeds in her background, she’s the perfect little mystery pup. Talia is gentle, loving, and so ready for a fresh start. She’ll make an amazing companion for someone who wants a sweet, easygoing friend by their side.
