Story
Hello there, I’m Ringo a beautiful 8-year-old 13 lb. Doxie. I have beautiful markings of white, red, and brindle. I was born with a defected eye (it’s tiny and I cannot see out of it) and I have limited vision in my other eye. I’m a super snuggly dude who just wants to cuddle. At night I like to sleep quietly in my dog bed. I’m really good on walks and car rides…..hint hint I want to go everywhere with my human. A home with older kids, 14 and up would be best for me. I am doing well on my potty training and will have it down in no time with a consistent routine. Ringo is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, on heartworm preventative, de-wormed, had a dental, and microchipped. Ringo’s adoption fee is $275.00. Please go to our website aaprescue.org to learn about our adoption process.

Are you ready to welcome a bundle of cuddles and canine charm into your life? Look no further than Cranberry Jerry, the lovable pup who's eagerly waiting to find his forever home. With his plush fur and heartwarming personality, Cranberry Jerry is the perfect cuddle companion for cozy nights and sunny afternoons. One of Cranberry Jerry's standout qualities is his impressive crate training skills. He's a pro at cozying up in his crate, and all it takes is a simple "go to bed" command to see him happily trotting off for some well-deserved rest. Plus, his loose leash walking abilities make him an ideal partner for exploring the great outdoors - he'll trot right by your side, tail wagging all the way. What's more, Cranberry Jerry is a social butterfly who knows how to keep his cool. He's a true gentleman on walks, remaining calm and collected when encountering other dogs and people. While he might feel a tad nervous around new faces initially, his heart is as big as his appetite for treats, and he'll warm up in no time. While Cranberry Jerry has made great strides in potty training, he's still perfecting this art and would benefit from a patient and understanding owner who can guide him on this journey. With your love and guidance, he's sure to master this skill soon. If you're looking for a four-legged friend who's as snuggly as a cranberry-hued blanket and as charming as can be, Cranberry Jerry is the pup for you. Story
Hi my name is Cookee, and I'm the sweetest treat of a pup that you'll ever meet. People say I remind them of cookies and cream when I give them sweet kisses on the nose or bump up and snuggle with them when they're feeling down. I am a Dachshund-Basset mix and medium sized about 30# full grown. Sitting on people's couches or laps is my favorite pastime as I get to snuggle close to the people I love, which is practically everyone! I LOVE OTHER DOGS TOO!! I definitely want a home with other dogs :) As I am a bit on the older side and lived on the streets until I was saved with my babies in my tummy. I have been living at my foster home and am ready for my forever HOME!! I will need a patient and loving family to give me a good life of exercise- LOL, playtime, treats, love, affection, and belonging. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
In the heart of bustling San Antonio, where the streets echoed with the sounds of city life, there lived two inseparable companions named Judas Priest and Iron Maiden. They were a unique pair of dachshund/terrier mixes, each with their distinctive personalities and a bond that could weather any storm. Judas Priest, with his soulful brown eyes and a heart as warm as the Texan sun, was the elder of the two. His silky coat shimmered like polished bicolored metal :), and his gentle disposition made him the perfect match for his spirited partner. Iron Maiden, on the other hand, was a whirlwind of energy with a coat as dark as midnight. Her playful nature and boundless enthusiasm for life were contagious. Together, they were a yin and yang, perfectly complementing each other in every way. Their story began on the mean streets of San Antonio, where they faced the harsh realities of life as strays. Despite the odds, they had each other, and their unwavering love and support kept them going through thick and thin. One fateful day, a kind-hearted passerby noticed the inseparable duo, huddled together for warmth beneath a tattered cardboard box. Touched by their devotion and the spark of hope in their eyes, the Good Samaritan decided to rescue them from the streets. Judas Priest and Iron Maiden soon found themselves in a loving foster home, where they flourished. They were house trained, well-behaved, and showered their foster family with affection. However, it was clear that their bond was unbreakable, and they simply couldn't bear to be apart. Judas Priest and Iron Maiden bring boundless joy and endless laughter to their foster home, proving that love, loyalty, and the unbreakable bond between two souls could overcome even the toughest of beginnings. They are now ready for YOUR HOME!!! Adopt these two and you will seal the deal for them for the rest of their lives :) Local adoption fee is $400 (together in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $800 (together and includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)
