Freddy is a high-energy, happy-go-lucky boy who is great with dogs and kids! He loves to do big zoomies in a circle, then race right back to you for cuddles. After a long day of playing fetch—where he happily chases the ball, even if he doesn’t always bring it back—Freddy is more than ready to snuggle in. If you’re on the couch, expect him to curl right into your back and soak up the love. Freddy is a joyful, affectionate boy who is absolutely ready to find his forever home. If you want it shorter or extra playful, I can tweak the tone too Local adoption fee is $200(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Caramel Do I look like a Star? Actually I have one on my forehead if you can see it through all of the fluffy that I have all over my body. Then if you adopt me, you will have a star!! I am one of 9 puppies born to a Dachshund Chihuahua mom and went to a bottle feeder along with 2 of my siblings to be bottle fed. Mom was super skinny and 9 puppies were just too much for her to handle by herself. My sister Pearl was fussy and got the bottle feeder to give us Goat’s milk instead of formula. We loved it! Foster mom thinks that dad may have had some Maltese in him as I am super fluffy and a couple of my siblings that stayed with mom are too. It makes us all very adorable. I will probably be about 20 pounds when I am fully grown as I am 5 pounds at the end of the 2025 I have my baby making bits removed on January 5, 2026 and then will be able to go to my forever home after the contest is over. Wish me luck! Local Adoption fee in Texas is $350 Out of state adoption fee with transport and fuel surcharge is $600

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Henry – Forever Foster Needed   Henry is a 13-year-old sweetheart who prefers to be the only dog in the home. He loves nothing more than following his human around and curling up beside them for TV time or bedtime snuggles. While he isn’t a fan of being picked up, Henry has no trouble hopping onto the couch or climbing the stairs to join you.   Once he feels settled, Henry will shower his person with kisses and cuddles. He’s easy to medicate, happily taking his morning and evening meds when hidden in cheese or treats.   Henry does best as an only dog, so he’s looking for a quiet home where he can soak up all the love and attention.   Medical Details: Henry has a bad back, arthritis, and muscle tremors. He is on Gabapentin and Methocarbamol (muscle relaxer). As a Forever Foster, all of Henry’s medical needs will be covered through our vet, Cornerstone Animal Hospital in Dickson.   Henry is an adorable boy who just wants a forever person to love him, and in return, he’ll give you a lifetime of loyalty and affection.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 20, 2025, 5:28 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Age: 7 years Breed: Dachshund   Meet Waldo Waldo is a sweet, soulful 7-year-old Dachshund with the kind of personality that instantly makes you feel at home. He adores curling up under blankets, snoozing in a cozy dog bed (or yours!), and spending quality time relaxing in a recliner with his people. His gentle, affectionate nature makes him a wonderful companion. Waldo gets along well with dogs of all sizes and has a calm, loving demeanor. He’s truly a cuddle-bug who just wants to be close to his humans. Medically, Waldo has Degenerative Valve Disease (advanced) and is currently classified as Stage B2. He is stable and doing well on Vetmedin 1.25 mg, one tablet twice daily, which he takes without issue. His medication is very manageable and costs approximately $125 for 100 tablets through Chewy. Waldo recently had a dental cleaning with five problematic teeth removed and is feeling much better. A few things to note: Waldo can be a bit of an escape artist, so he’ll need to be supervised when outside. He is looking for a home with no children under the age of 10, where he can enjoy a calm, predictable environment. Waldo may have some medical needs, but he has so much love to give. If you’re looking for a devoted little companion who will happily snuggle beside you and warm your heart, Waldo may be your perfect match. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Medical Notes: Neutered Vaccinated Dewormed Microchipped Heartworm Negative ProHeart 12 Injection Senior Exam + Bloodwork (all levels within normal limits) - diagnosed with Degenerative Valve Disease (advanced)  of the heart, maintained on Vetmedin 1.25 mg - 1 tablet orally twice a day (costs $124.78 through Chewy.com for 100 tablets) Dental Cleaning with 5 problematic teeth being removed Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 1, 2026, 10:46 pm

He is still learning what it is like to be a pet. This is where you come in, patience is the key to Samson’s heart. We can tell he wants hugs and kisses but he is just not sure. Remember breeder dogs are not shown attention like other puppies that go into people’s homes so he must warm to the idea of being a pet but he still has a ways to go. Can you help him? After we have had him for a bit, we realize that he really does not need a fenced yard because he really does not care to be outside especially in the cold and rain. So, you would have to be committed to walking him on a leash. If you just let him out without a leash he would run off and we don’t want that phone call, ever! Samson is not a barker so he can be in an apartment or condo, ground floor. He says he would also prefer a warmer climate than here in Tennessee! Our must haves for Samson are: • Ground floor apartment or condo • Someone home more than not • Another adult small dog for him to hang with • Someone that is patient and has breeder dog experience If you meet these requirements then make Samson’s wish come to for a home for spring. Apply online on our website, Samson says he’s waiting for YOU. ============== Information for All Dogs/Adopters ============== AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund’s back or get bitten. If you have questions about this dog, please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed on the bio form. They have the most up-to-date information concerning the dog and would be happy to answer any questions about the animal. There will be an additional $60 fee added for a required Health Certificate if traveling out of the state in which they are being fostered. We will not adopt into CT, RI, NH, ME, or MA due to strict laws regarding importation of dogs into those states. If you have any issue with this, you will need to take this up with your legislatures. To understand the adoption process through AADR, please review the Adoption Information on our home page. Transportation options are outlined on that page in Step 3. Click this link to apply: https://www.allamericandachshundrescue.org/apply, it will take you to the application form. Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers who will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or Midwest. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. Please look for dogs on your coast.
