Story
Ranger just joined our program and while we are not sure what breed he actually is, we have been told Dachshund Lab mix...Corgi Lab mix or possibly Corgi German Shepherd mix. The truth is, we just don't know however we do lean towards a Dachshund mix of some sort. What we do know is that he is so stinking adorable and was on his way to the shelter and we could not let that happen so....here he is! Apply to adopt Ranger at our website at www.txlabrescue.org

Story
TEXAS ADOPTION ONLY (BONDED PAIR) Oy Chico! Chico is a sweet couch potato, who is bonded with his brother Jefe! They are cute, little senior dachshunds who are hoping to be adopted together! They are a package deal, consider it a 2-for-1 special! Both have good energy and cannot stop wiggling their butts constantly! We are purebred dachshunds, with slightly different colored patches but all dachshund ALL the time! We are your standard dachshund size and have the temperament that would be great as a binge watching buddy, gaming friend or even a professional nappers (seriously we're that good.) Chico does have a seizure disorder that is controlled well with phenobarbital. His seizures were only about 1 a week but no one wants to let it happen so the meds were started and work GREAT! Local adoption fee is $300 for both of us (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $600 (includes transport to your area)

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hello there, I'm Marcel, the smartest, funniest dog you'll ever meet. My previous owner had a stroke, and in all the confusion, I ended up at the shelter. Now, don't get me wrong, it's not a bad place, but it's no five-star hotel either. Once, I tried to make a break for it, using my superior intellect to pick the lock with a chewed up bone. It was going perfectly until I realized I was 'escaping' into the vet's office! Talk about a plot twist! I ended up with a lampshade on  my head and some missing family jewels.  Despite my hilarious mishaps, I'm a real sweetheart who loves to play and explore. When I first meet you I can be a little cautious, but once I know you I'm energetic and friendly, and I promise to keep you laughing. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a sense of humor, then I'm your guy! To adopt this dog, please fill out an application at www.adoggie4you.org.  He was born around 01/11/2023 and weighs 22.5 pounds.  His adoption fee is $300.   This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 2, 2024, 1:16 pm

Story
HE WAS FOUND WITH TWO PUPPIES UNDER A HIGHWAY BRIDGE. UNFORTUNATELY, ONE OF THEM TESTED POSITIVE FOR DISTEMPER AND, BECAUSE THE DISEASE WAS ALREADY VERY ADVANCED, HE DIED A FEW DAYS AFTER STARTING HIS TREATMENT. ELMER AND THE OTHER PUPPY, TITAN, WERE PLACED IN QUARANTINE AS A PREVENTIVE MEASURE. HOWEVER, ONE DAY AFTER THE END OF QUARANTINE, TITAN SHOWED DISTEMPOR SYMPTOMS AND, LIKE THE FIRST PUPPY, DIED DESPITE RECEIVING TREATMENT. THIS WAS HOW ELMER BECAME THE ONLY SURVIVOR OF THIS RESCUE. TODAY ELMER IS COMPLETELY HEALTHY AND WITHOUT ANY KIND OF SEQUEL AND IS LOOKING FOR A LOVING FAMILY THAT WILL CONSENT HIM. ELMER IS A FAITHFUL COMPANION WHO LOVES TO BE HUGGED AND Cuddled. HE WILL LOVE TO TAKE WALKS AND WALKS WITH YOU. IT IS PLAYFUL AND FRIENDLY, WHICH MAKES IT IDEAL TO BE WITH CHILDREN AND LITTLE ONES. HE LIKES TO EXPLORE, DISCOVER NEW THINGS, MEET PEOPLE AND ABOVE ALL PLAY. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Pumpkin is an approximately 2 to 2.5 yr old Daschund and Pitbull mix female. She was found living an abandoned home along with her brother, Johnny. Pumpkin is a delightful girl, who loves dogs and people. She is not a fan of cats. Pumpkin is a velcro dog, always up for some kisses and cuddles. Under the covers, right beside you in bed, is definitely one of her favorite places to be. Although small in size, Pumpkin is very confident and would make a great companion in many different environments and lifestyles. She is potty trained, spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $450. Pumpkin is a courtesy post for House of Hope at Shelton WA. Please submit your application to adopt and we will forward it to her rescue.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Introducing Olive! She is a 1-year-old, 17lb dachshund mix who came to us with her buddy, Sam, from an overcrowded shelter in CA. Olive is a very sweet and playful girl! She will play all day long with other dogs and especially with her best friend Sam, who is another dachshund mix. Olive is very treat motivated and will do just about anything for a high value treat. She enjoys being with her person and would love to spend her days exploring with her people and getting a lot of playtime with other dogs! She has done very well with other dogs in our care and would love to have another dog in the home as a playmate. She would also be fine as an only dog, but would need continued socialization and doggy playdates as she is a very social girl. Olive is going to make a wonderful addition to any home that adopts her! Olive is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.
