Story
We are Flynn and Rider! Like thieves in the night we'll steal your heart. Flynn and Rider are absolutely gorgeous and active puppies looking for forever homes to call their own. Flynn is more reserved than Rider but he still loves to go play. He'll come sit by your feet and take in the world around him or he'll try to scamper up on your lap to show you rocks he's found. He loves being up high to get scratchies and watch his brother. Rider is the adventurer, he enjoys sniffing through the grass and pouncing grasshoppers. He likes to get the big dog toys to drag around the yard and have his brother chase him. Rider sits patiently waiting for his turn to get scratchies on your lap. He's so adorable! He's fearless until big trucks rumble by then you'll find him behind your chair! Don't get Tangled in our cute-pie puppy eyes! These pups have healthy appetites but will stop when full, graze later after activities. Their mom has short legs, longer body, pointy ears, narrow face, and a beautiful redish brindle coat. Might be corgi/dachshund mixes or be energetic little terrier dogs. They have cute little legs and look like they waddle from behind! Both like to play, run, and carry things around. They are really good at hustling from their room to door to go outside with "lets go, let's go, hurry, hurry, all the way to the door." Then once out the door "all the way to the gate... no pee pee in the walk way." Then "hurry hurry all the way back to go potty." They bound around in a scurry watching me for praise at their good efforts! Eager to learn, observant, smart. Will walk on leashes together but criss cross a bit so will need individual leash training. They are a little timid with new things in general so slow introductions would be helpful as they learn. They are young and going through a chewing stage so age appropriate chew toys a plus. Have experience with dogs their size. Very timid with big dogs. No experience with cats or children so please introduce them slowly. Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  ** Canela The Dachshund Mix**   Canela was abandoned and left to fend for herself. But now, she's looking for a loving home where she can feel safe and cherished. The clinic kept her and sent her to Rompin Paws Rescue, hoping to find Canela, a forever family who will love her unconditionally and keep her safe until the end of her days.   Canela is partially blind, and her eyes have blued. She has partial vision through the haze and gets along well. Due to her sight limitations, her new family must accompany her to the yard for potty training and playtime so she does not get hurt or taken by a predatory bird or wildlife.   Canela has a lovely disposition. She loves to be held, talked to, and cuddled. At the clinic, she lived with several small-breed dogs and did well with all of them. Canela would do very well with humans who work from home, are retired, and have a lot of time for her. She is also adaptable to different living situations and can thrive in an apartment or a house with a yard. Rompin Paws Rescue is seeking adopters who will give her enrichment activities so she is not bored and can stimulate her mind. She needs folks who will care for and love her unconditionally. Canela is a bundle of joy, ready to bring happiness to her forever family. She loves people, is friendly to animals, and is eager to give her heart to the right adopter. Her loving nature and friendly disposition will surely bring a smile to your face every day.   If you think you may be Canela's person, kindly visit our website and apply for adoption. Once we receive your application, we will review it and get back to you within 24 business hours. https://rompinpawsrescue.com.  Canela has a $395.00 adoption fee. She is current on her vaccines, spayed and microchipped.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 21, 2025, 8:12 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Lt. Dan! You got new legs...err..a new leash! Lt. Dan is an adorable short stack with little legs, large ears, and a big fat head. Lt. Dan is one easy going dude. He has been in a family home with dogs, cats and kids. Unfortunately his family had a change of living circumstance and were not able to take Dan with them. He has been neutered and is on his way to the PNW. We cannot wait to meet him.  Foster Update:  With short little legs, big paws, a chunky head, and a baguette body, Lt. Dan is the cutest and happiest guy! His tail is always wagging and he lights up when he sees people. He walks nicely on leash, but will pull if he sees a critter like a rabbit or squirrel. Dan is a great jogging companion. He sleeps through the night in his crate and is great about going potty outside. Lt. Dan is very food motivated which is helpful for training. He enjoys toys (loves a ball!) and playtime but also loves to snuggle up. He can positively vibrate with energy when looking for a task or toy, but with consistent exercise and boundaries, he will settle. Dan has been a quiet work from home companion. Adopter profile: Dan is a confident dog, and will need an experienced handler who will give him clear guidance. Dan follows the cues of the resident dogs in his foster home and would do best in a home with another dog. Due to his exuberance, Dan would not be a good fit for a home with children. No first time dog owners, please. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog is being transferred from Animal Advocacy & Rescue Center, our partner in Del Rio Texas and arriving via Paws Up Rescue on 11/10/24 to the Seattle area. This dog will be fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated in foster care.February 3, 2025, 12:01 pm

Story
HE WAS FOUND WITH TWO PUPPIES UNDER A HIGHWAY BRIDGE. UNFORTUNATELY, ONE OF THEM TESTED POSITIVE FOR DISTEMPER AND, BECAUSE THE DISEASE WAS ALREADY VERY ADVANCED, HE DIED A FEW DAYS AFTER STARTING HIS TREATMENT. ELMER AND THE OTHER PUPPY, TITAN, WERE PLACED IN QUARANTINE AS A PREVENTIVE MEASURE. HOWEVER, ONE DAY AFTER THE END OF QUARANTINE, TITAN SHOWED DISTEMPOR SYMPTOMS AND, LIKE THE FIRST PUPPY, DIED DESPITE RECEIVING TREATMENT. THIS WAS HOW ELMER BECAME THE ONLY SURVIVOR OF THIS RESCUE. TODAY ELMER IS COMPLETELY HEALTHY AND WITHOUT ANY KIND OF SEQUEL AND IS LOOKING FOR A LOVING FAMILY THAT WILL CONSENT HIM. ELMER IS A FAITHFUL COMPANION WHO LOVES TO BE HUGGED AND Cuddled. HE WILL LOVE TO TAKE WALKS AND WALKS WITH YOU. IT IS PLAYFUL AND FRIENDLY, WHICH MAKES IT IDEAL TO BE WITH CHILDREN AND LITTLE ONES. HE LIKES TO EXPLORE, DISCOVER NEW THINGS, MEET PEOPLE AND ABOVE ALL PLAY. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Jasper! He is a 10-month-old, 18 lb Dachshund mix who came to us as a stray. This sweet, lovable boy is so excited to find his forever home! Despite his rough start, Jasper is incredibly affectionate and eager to share his love with everyone he meets. He is still young and will need some work on manners but he is eager to learn and loves treats which will make training a breeze. Jasper’s playful and friendly nature makes him a great companion for other dogs, and he’d do well in a home with some furry siblings. Jasper is also a fan of attention and loves being around people. Whether it’s snuggling on the couch or joining you for a walk, he’s always ready for some quality time. Jasper is ready to put down roots in a loving home where he can continue to grow and thrive. If you’re looking for a sweet and playful dog to add to your family, Jasper might just be the perfect fit! Jasper is up to date on his vaccinations, microchipped and neutered.
