He may be a little scared when he first meets new people, but give him a little time and patience and he warms up beautifully. Once he feels comfortable, Diesel shows his sweet, affectionate side and loves being near his people. He’s very treat-motivated, which makes bonding and training fun and rewarding. Diesel also walks well on a leash and enjoys getting out for strolls. With gentle guidance and a loving home, this handsome guy is ready to blossom into an amazing companion. Story
Location: San Diego, CA ***FOSTER OR ADOPTER**** Please meet sweet Tilly. This pretty gal is only 3 years old, around 60 lbs and has a very sweet "ghosty" face. She needs a new home with No young children under 10 yrs. Tilly is not a fan and wants her personal space respected. She is very much a Velcro Dal, her human is everything to Tilly. She has a hard time with her person being away for extended periods of time. (several days) Tilly craves attention and affection. She is social and enjoys meeting new people She loves walks and to run in open fields, she loves to tear apart her stuffy toys and find the squeaker, she likes hard rubber toys because she can’t destroy them. Tilly is good with other dogs, after a proper introduction. Cats are unknown. Her ideal home would be with someone who works from home, is retired or only works part time. Story
Location: Fresno, CA Say hi to Val (short for Valentine). She is about 3 years old and 53 lbs. This cute little gal landed in the shelter. She was so terrified. Now in foster care, Valentine is beginning to shine. Val is rather shy and timid but beyond sweet. She is doing well with the other dalmatian in her foster home. Val has learned that cuddling on the couch and sunbathing are very enjoyable. She is also learning that toys are very fun to play with. She will need a patient owner, who will understand she is shy about new things and just needs time to acclimate. She does need to be fed her food separate from other dogs but gladly shares treats and snacks with her canine friends. At this time, cats and kids are unknown. Would you like to have your very own Valentine? Please copy & past the link below into your browser for our application: https://www.jotform.com/form/243374218477059 Questions? Story
Location: Nevada City, CA Meet Mango Mango is a beautiful 5-year-old liver Dalmatian, spayed female with a big personality and a soft, sensitive heart. She’s a total homebody girl who truly thrives in a calm, predictable environment with people who understand and respect her boundaries. Mango was previously on Prozac to help manage anxiety related to public settings, car rides, and being around other animals. She has since been successfully weaned off medication, and with consistent structure and patience, she continues to make progress—especially with carefully selected dog friends. She does best with smaller dogs and can become overwhelmed in busy or chaotic situations. This girl is not your take-everywhere, social butterfly pup—and that’s okay. If you’re looking for a dog to bring out in public, on errands, or to crowded places, Mango is not the right fit. But if you want a loyal, sweet companion at home, she shines. *** The good stuff: • Knows all her basic commands • Potty trained • Crate trained (though she’d much rather sleep on the bed with you) • Very sweet and affectionate with her people • Does well with a small, controlled circle of dogs ~~ Important to know: • Needs her personal space respected • Easily overwhelmed • Does not do well with larger dogs bigger than her • Sensitive around children and may show her teeth if uncomfortable (no kids recommended) • Does not do well with cats, chickens or farm animals • She is a dominant dog even with dogs her own size Mango needs an experienced, calm home—someone who understands dog body language, values routine, and is willing to meet her where she’s at. In the right environment, Mango is a loving, devoted girl who just wants peace, comfort, and her person. Story
Location: Fresno, CA Say hi to Atlas! This cutie guy is about 8-10 months old and was found roaming the streets. No microchip, no owner has been found. The finder cannot keep him, as he is very much a puppy and tends to run over her little dogs. He is currently 35 lbs. We are guessing Atlas to be a blend of Dalmatian and Cattle dog, that equals adorable & sweet. Gets along great with other dogs, of course after a proper introduction. He is very shy and timid at first, once he warms up, he just wants to be near you. Atlas loves to run and his recall is pretty good. He enjoys learning things, is easy to train, he will let you dress him up, brush his teeth, clean his ears, and he is good at letting you know he needs to potty Stuffies are his favorite thing to destroy, otherwise he might get into other things laying around, he is still a puppy. Loves nice, hearty chews to keep him busy. Atlas is getting more comfortable with kisses and hugs. We don't think he was ever cuddled before, still somewhat of a foreign concept to him. good car rider Atlas will be neutered with his adoption. We do not know about kids or cats at this time. We think he would be fine with kiddo's over 9+ years old.
