Story
In addition to a forever home, Misti Blue is in need of a Foster home. Save the Dals & Others allows Foster to Adopt. It is a great way to see if it is the right dog for you! She has been with us for quite sometime and longs for a home of her own. Hi everyone, my name is Misti Blue and I’m currently being fostered in Gardena, CA. The people caring for me tell me I’m about 3 years old. I’ve been asked to tell you about myself. So here goes: First I love people. I have the most amazing blue eyes, people always comment on them… thing is I don’t hear the compliments because I’m deaf, but it’s okay because I see and feel the love especially when I lean against you so you can cuddle me. I was found on the streets and taken to a shelter. It was there that I was given a toy and discovered how much I love playing. Now I’m looking for my furever home – a place full of love and without small children. Would you like to find out more about me? If YES, please complete our Adoption Application/Questionnaire (link below) and email it to us. http://savethedals.org/dogs-to-adopt/ To contact Save the Dalmatians call us at (949) 590-9935 or email us at info@savethedals.org. Story
Hey y’all, I’m Pinto and I am a Dal-Lab mix. I’m about 2 years old and currently live in Central TX until Save the Dals can move me to California. My foster mom is awesome but she can’t keep me forever. She tells people that I’m calm and refined, house-broken, and like to play in the yard with my foster siblings. I’ll tell you that I’m very chill, and my German Shepherd siblings are a bit too rambunctious for me, but because I’m smart, I’ve figured out that I just move out of their way, and sometimes I duck. You can take the dog out of the city, but you can’t take the city out of the dog! So, if you would like to find out more about me, please let the folks at Save the Dals know.

Story
Hello! I’m Daisy from Ohio! I’m 7 years old. I’m housetrained and up to date on all my vaccinations. I’m deaf, but that’s okay because it means I don’t have to listen to my friends barking. I get along with other dogs, but I tend to be defensive on a leash. Sometimes dogs can startle me as I don’t hear them approaching, so I’ll need a little adjustment time with a nice, caring family, who will make accommodations for my deafness. If you’d like to meet me, please let the folks at Save the Dals know, by completing the adoption or fostering questionnaire at www.savethedals.org, or sending them an e-mail at

FOSTER HOME NEEDED also. Foster to Adopt is an option too. It is a great way of helping and at the same time seeing if it's the forever dog for you. New pics coming soon. Meet adorable Sky, a 7 month old male looking for his forever home. We rescued mom and dad too from Mexico. Mom gave birth before we could arrange to get her from Mexico. She was being boarded at vet office in Mexico when she went into labor and had her puppies under the care of a veterinarian. Her pups have been vaccinated and fecal tested.. Mom is a dalmatian and dad is a black labrador. Mom has been adopted and dad stayed with his family. They are now in Southern California looking to be adopted to their forever homes. If interested go to www.savethedals.org and complete the adoption application, or email info@savethedals.org.

Story
In addition to a forever home, Devy is in need of a Foster home. Save the Dals & Others allows Foster to Adopt. It is a great way to see if it is the right dog for you! Hi my name is Devy. I am about 1.5 years old. I had a rough start to my life.  I was a puppy covered in filth in feces that was being sold in a parking lot.  A good hearted person bought me just to get me out of the situation.  He was not planning to get a dog and had to keep me outdoors on a concrete patio.  I did not have any toys or company.  He did his best and was grateful when he found a rescue group to take me, even though I am deaf.   I am a smaller petite female dalmatian estimated to weigh under 40 pounds.  I have beautiful unique eyes, one is blue and the other is brown.  As I mentioned I am deaf so I am looking for a home that will take the time to learn how to communicate with me and provide basic training.  I am already learning modified sign language/hand signals to communicate with me. I am potty trained for hard surfaces but I need additional training if the home has carpet, especially if there is the scent of another dog's potty accidents.  I am a smart girl and can easily be trained by making sure I go directly outside after eating, sleeping and playing and given a nice tasty reward.    I was very very scared of the world at first.  I have been in a home boarding facility.  They have been kind and patient with me and have helped me become a more confident dog.  The world is no longer as scary as I thought.  I am a sweet girl without a mean bone in my body.  I can be timid meeting new people but once I get to know you and realize there is no stranger danger I am your new best friend who loves to cuddle.   I enjoy the company of other dogs of all sizes, especially dogs that will play with me. I have been around an elderly cat for a few days now and showing little interest. Being deaf it is extra important to be in a home where doors won't accidentally be left open. I can't hear a car or other dangers coming.  I am still a youngster who can get into mischief when left alone. For example I love the smell and taste of shoes.  I never had toys or teathing items when I was younger.  With training love and kindness I will learn to be redirected to more appropriate chew toys.  The good news is I am crate trained. I travel well in  a car too. My ideal home would be one with no children under the age of 16. Being deaf it is extra important to be in a home where doors won't accidentally be left open. I can't hear a car or other dangers coming.  Also a home where someone is home most of the day, and people willing to put in the time and effort to learn how to communicate with me via sign language.  Plus another dog that is young and loves to play.  I LOVE to play.   Deaf dogs can have wonderful lives. We can be trained. We can do do agility and we can be therapy dogs too.   We can pretty much do anything a hearing dog can do -- there's nothing wrong with us. We just can't hear, but we compensate with attentiveness to the people who love and care for us unconditionally. Story
Wonderful friendly Stoney needs a foster home while waiting to find his forever adoption home.  He is currentky located in San Diego, CA  Meet Stoney, he is about 3 years old and was descued from a high kill animal shelter, just before his time was up.  He is a mixed breed that we believe to be Dalmatian and Texas Heeler. He has the high energy and personality of a heeler. Stoney can jump high so needs a home with high fencing. This boy is a bundle of fun.  He LOVES everybody including dogs of any size and any sex. He did spend a week with. 23lb cat and the interaction went well.  So it is possible that he might be good with house cats  Stoney loves to play chase and show off his fast running skills.  He enjoys days at the dog beach in San Diego.  He has good recall skills too for when he is off leash. His at home boarding home describes him as a goof lovable boy that enjoys cuddling, especially at bedtime.  He has had basic obedience trainibg.  He knows sit, stay, lay and heis potty trained.  He does need some traing as he likes to jump up to greet people and initiate a greeting with.playful nips, which is  why we recommend a home without children under the age of 14. He is not an annoyance barker.  He will barg to alert for stranger danger or unusual sound in and around the home. Stoney's ideal home would be one with a yard and high fences of at least 6 feet.  A home with another dog to play and burn off extra energy.  An active family that likes to take walks, go to the beach, play fetch.  He needs to be a part of the family's homelife as an indoor family dog.  He also travels well in a car. Stoney has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. If you are interested in learning more about Stoney and arranging a meet in greet for potential to foster and/or adopt contact us by email at info@savethedals.org or call 949-590-9935. You can also find the foster and adoption apllication questionnaires to download from our website at www.savethedals.org and return the completed form by email back to info@savethedals.org
