Story
Location: Calabasas, CA Say hi to Lucrecia, nicknamed Lucy. This cutie girl is around 2 yrs old, petite at about 37 lbs, great with other dogs and loves kids, Absolutely NO cats, farm animals or small critters, she seems the as prey. She can be shy with men; she will need time to get to know them. She is so happy, energetic, loves to run, do zoomies, play with stuffed toys, sniff everything and play in the backyard. We feel she would thrive in a home with another canine and a fenced yard. As with any young dal, she will need regular exercise. A little on her history, she was found alone on the streets of Mexico. This has made he a flight risk, she will try to sneak out of any holes in a fenced yard when given the opportunity. Her new adopter will need to understand that she shouldn't be off leash. Story
Location: Sebastopol, CA Please meet Talulla, she is 2 years, 4 months old. Talulla is very sweet and loving. She always wants to be with her human and will literally follow you everywhere you go. She wants to cuddle with you and is very eager to please. She is food motivated and is fed separately from her canine brother, as she will steal his food. Talulla is good with kids, loves them, wants to lick them and will jump up in excitement, most experience has been with kids 3 and up. She loves running and playing with her canine brother. She has seen goats and cats through the back yard fence and all she does is bark at them. Talulla can sometimes be shy and weary of new people or situations, but once she realizes she's safe, she warms up and wants to love you and give lots of kisses. She has a lot of energy and loves long hikes, walks and definitely needs a consistent outlet for her energy. She does jump up on people as a greeting because she's so excited to see you. Talulla has lived with another dog her entire life, she must be placed in a new home with another canine present. She would love to remain with her canine brother Echo, but we understand that isn't always possible, so they can be separated. Story
Location: Albuquerque, NM This darling girl is Bebe, she is 4 years old. Bebe has lost her home and has been passed around through several family members. The current caregiver is elderly and having trouble keeping up with caring for Bebe and her canine sister. Bebe is smart, loving, sweet, cuddly and simply longs to be loved by her person. We are saying No other dogs at this time, due to all the upheaval in her life. Bebe can be very shy with new people; she has experienced a lot of chaos in her years of life. She is super smart and would love a new owner who would keep working with her on basic obedience, so she can be the best girl she can be. She would prefer a quiet, calmer home with NO KIDS. Chaos causes her upset. Could you the peaceful home that she needs? Story
Location: Compton, CA Introducing Jimmy Dogfa, he is the Dog Boss, not really but we tell him he is. Jimmy is 2 years old, so sweet, affectionate, smart and an all-around good boy. He loves his walks, meeting new people, smelling everything and has been good with other dogs. Jimmy has been doing well around kids, age 1 and 3 yrs. He is cautious around cats but then is fine with them. He adores his plush toys with squeakers but is gentle and doesn't rip them the apart. His ideal home would have a nice yard for him to run and play in. He is good as a single dog or with a canine partner. Once play is done, Jimmy loves to take naps. He is terrified of fireworks. He shakes and seeks a place to hide in the quiet. Let's give Jimmy his forever family. Story
Location: Apple Valley, CA Transportation to other states available, just ask US. Please meet Arson, he is guessed to be close to 1 year, 5 months old and is 75 pounds of pure puppy play. He is bilaterally DEAF. He is fine with older kids, gets very excited and jumps on them & will knock down little ones. He will need to continue working on his good boy manors. Arson loves car rides, going for runs and walks. Chasing around the yard is magical. He was found roaming around in the desert in July 2024. His foster family has been caring for him, but he is just too exuberant for the older resident dog. Arson is a sweet and very happy dog. He is unaware of his size and can play too rough sometimes. Being Deaf, he cannot hear other dogs warn him when they have had enough play. He has never growled or gotten territorial. Not a mean bone in his body. He not a huge barker, he does whine a lot though. He is crate trained and sleeps in his crate at night. Arson would do best with a fenced in yard and a canine companion his size and energy level. No apartments please. Cats are unknown Arson would love to come home with you! Story
Location: Nevada City, CA Please meet Hope, this sweetheart is only around 1 yr, 5 months old and has had a rough start in life. She was abandoned on the streets shortly after having puppies and landed in the scary shelter. Once freed from chaos of the shelter, Hope began to shine. This little girl is the biggest cuddler ever. We have determined that Hope is bilaterally Deaf, but do not tell her that, she behaves like any other dog with full hearing. Her foster mom has taught her hand signals. In spite of her former life, Hope still has faith in humans. All this darling girl wants is to be loved. She has your typical Dalmatian energy, loves to run and play in the fenced back yard with her foster canine companions. Hope does best with dogs her size, NO small dogs. Hope is very interested in the kitties in her foster home, however she has not tried to bite/hurt them, but she will chase them if they run. We are saying no kids right now, simply because Hope is young and very rambunctious. She loves playing with toys. Enjoys tug a war with rope toy. She will pay lots of attention for a treat. She has the potential to learn many things. She’s definitely a Velcro dog, she wants to be always touching her humans. Hope deserves a home of her own, where her humans can shower her with love and affection. Hope would prefer another canine in her new home. If you think that home is yours, please apply.
