Story
Meet Camo and Checkers! This adorable Dalmatian duo is a package deal full of personality and just the right mix of chill and playful energy.Checkers (8–9 years, ~55 lbs) is the distinguished gentleman of the pair. He’s happiest curled up under a blanket or in a cozy sweater, thriving on belly rubs. Checkers does need a bit of patience as he continues working on house-training habits and managing some age-related spinal weakness—but he’s come a long way and will reward you with unwavering loyalty and love.Camo (2–3 years, ~33 lbs) is the spunky little shadow you didn’t know you needed. He’s equal parts zoomies and naps, with a hilarious personality that shines through his playful yips and signature “crawl” trick. He loves being near his people (preferably the center of attention!) and will happily burrow into your lap or a blanket when it’s time to wind down. These boys were rescued from a difficult hoarding situation and have worked incredibly hard to rebuild their strength and trust in people. In their new foster home, they love their routines, and will definitely remind you when it’s mealtime. Checkers is crate-trained too but Camo is afraid unless he goes in Checkers' XL kennel alongside him.Checkers and Camo are indifferent to cats, and their foster family has no concerns about living with other dogs or with children. They tend to bark at other dogs outside so they may need help with introductions.Daily walks will help them relax, but they won't need excessive exercise or a fenced yard. Just a family who's committed to getting their wiggles out (10 minute walk) every day or they may be more mischievous. If you’re looking for a heart-melting senior sweetheart and a goofy, lovable sidekick, Checkers and Camo are ready to bring laughter and lots of snuggles into your life!If you are interested in Camo and Checkers, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. Story
Location: Sleepy Eye, MN Tito is a beautiful, mixed breed young female dog with a sleek, smooth, and soft coat who often appears to be smiling. She is usually happy and enjoys playing with other dogs and getting attention from her people - she is a bit cautious around new people or fast-moving children. As with many dogs, she does a "happy dance" when her people come home, pick up a leash or she is let out of her crate. She is excited to go for walks and is becoming more confident. She would make a great companion for someone who wants to get out and walk. She has enough energy for a couple of walks a day. She enjoys sniffing and exploring during the walk. Tito has almost mastered house training. She almost always takes care of business outside but does have an occasional accident indoors—usually when humans miss her cues or she is having too much fun to ask to go outside. Although she sleeps in her crate, she probably would be very happy to have a home with someone who wanted to share a bed with her. She also enjoys morning belly rubs. At this point in her life, she likes nipping the other dogs' ears and hind legs so she might do better in a home with a confident dog about her size or larger or possibly would do quite well as an only dog. She does jump up when excited so would probably do better in a home with children at least 10 or older. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. Story
Location: Lynd, MN Hi! My name is Gunner. I recently came into rescue from ND. I’m a really happy boy! I basically love everything other than maybe when my foster mom is gonna leave & she puts me in the kennel. I do okay in there though. I don’t have any accidents. I love people so much! I like to shadow my foster mom & follow her everywhere to make sure she is okay! I have a young foster brother here too & we love to play! I also love the resident dogs. I’m very interested in the cats here too, but I’m getting used to them & learning I need to leave them alone or they punch me! There are a lot of kids here too & I really love them. I’m still young, but I’m learning quickly to not jump & be respectful of the tiny humans! I have a giant yard here & I love to play out ther e & run! They have a whole basket of toys here & I dig through to find my favorites! Sometimes I grab something I shouldn’t around the house, but if you give me a toy or bone I am happy to take that instead! I sleep on the floor in my foster parents room & I really enjoy that. I have had very minimal accidents since I came to live here too & they are very proud of me. I don’t mind others around my food whether they are humans or other dogs. I’m told I’m such a beautiful boy with my silky coat & pointy ears. My foster mom really likes pointy ears! I really think I like this life that involves warm beds & snuggles! Do you think you could be my new family? --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: St Cloud, MN Meet a dog who embodies everything people love about a presumed Husky mix—adventurous, intelligent, full of personality, and always ready for the next adventure. This energetic pup approaches life with enthusiasm and curiosity, whether it’s exploring a new trail, playing with favorite toys, or simply finding a fun way to entertain himself. His sharp mind makes him a quick learner, though that independent Husky streak means he sometimes likes to decide for himself when and how things should be done. Friendly and social, this dog enjoys being around people and thrives on companionship. He can be vocal and expressive, never shy about sharing his thoughts, feelings, or excitement with his family. As a hardworking and active companion, he’ll do best with a home that can provide plenty of physical exercise and mental enrichment to keep his busy mind engaged. Like many Husky mixes, he can be a little mischievous when boredom strikes and he doesn’t enjoy being left alone for long periods. He would prefer being part of the action and spending time with his people. Toys are his favorite pastime, and he loves having outlets for his energy and playful nature. This pup also prefers not to be kenneled and would thrive with a family committed to helping him succeed through structure, activity, and companionship. Because of his instinctual prey drive and preferences, he is looking for a cat-free home. For the right family, Joss will be a loyal adventure partner, a source of daily laughter, and a constant reminder that life is meant to be lived to the fullest. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
