Story
Meet Camo and Checkers! This adorable Dalmatian duo is a package deal full of personality and just the right mix of chill and playful energy.Checkers (13.5 years, 60 lbs) is the distinguished gentleman of the pair. He’s happiest curled up under a blanket or in a cozy sweater, thriving on belly rubs. Checkers does need a bit of patience as he continues working on house-training habits and managing some age-related spinal weakness—but he’s come a long way and will reward you with unwavering loyalty and love.Camo (11.5 years, 38 lbs) is the spunky little shadow you didn’t know you needed. He’s equal parts zoomies and naps, with a hilarious personality that shines through his playful yips and signature “crawl” trick. He loves being near his people (preferably the center of attention!) and will happily burrow into your lap or a blanket when it’s time to wind down. These boys were rescued from a difficult hoarding situation and have worked incredibly hard to rebuild their strength and trust in people. In their new foster home, they love their routines, and will definitely remind you when it’s mealtime. Checkers is crate-trained too but Camo is afraid unless he goes in Checkers' XL kennel alongside him.Checkers and Camo do well with other dogs and would be happy in a home with canine companions. Checkers can be vocal when he sees other dogs while out on walks, so he may need a little help with introductions to new canine friends. Once introduced, however, both boys do well with other dogs. They are indifferent to cats, making them a good fit for a home with feline family members. Their foster family also has no concerns about them living with children, and they believe these sweet boys would thrive in a loving family environment. Daily walks will help them relax, but they won't need excessive exercise or a fenced yard. Just a family who's committed to getting their wiggles out (10 minute walk) every day or they may be more mischievous. If you’re looking for a heart-melting senior sweetheart and a goofy, lovable sidekick, Checkers and Camo are ready to bring laughter and lots of snuggles into your life!If you are interested in Camo and Checkers, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.

Story
Hi there, I’m Stella! I know, I know… you’re probably wondering what kind of dog I am. Well, get ready — I’m a mix of Dalmatian, German Shepherd, Husky, and even a little Chihuahua. Yep, you read that right! I’m basically a whole dog park in one adorable package. I can be a little shy when I first meet new people, but once I feel safe, I warm up and really enjoy attention. I’m a gentle, sweet girl who loves being with my humans and would thrive in an active home where we can go on adventures together. I’m hoping to find a home where I can be your one and only. I lived with another female dog before, and it just wasn’t the right fit for me — so this time around, I’d really love to be the star of the household. If you’re looking for a loyal, quirky, and loving companion, I think we might be a perfect match. I can’t wait to meet you!

Story
Ox is the sweetest boy. I have had him since he was a puppy. He turns 5 on Oct 5 of this year (currently 4). He has not had any health issues and has never showed signs of aggression. He is good with our daughter, other people, and other dogs. Ox has also been through formal training, so he knows how to heal etc. I am heart broken to be looking to rehome Ox. Ox has A LOT of energy. We are currently pregnant with another baby and he just does not get the time and attention anymore that he deserves. He would do great with someone that has to time for his high energy.I want to make sure he goes to the right home.

Story
Piper is 8 years old and very shy. She was rescued from a shelter about 6 years ago. Piper’s owner (my mother) is moving in to an assisted living apartment and is not able to have Piper. Piper is very sweet and deserves a patient loving home. She is very low key, low maintenance and does well on a leash and does well in a fenced yard.

Story
PLEASE NOTE! WE ARE A TEXAS-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN TEXAS AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO YOUR STATE ONCE ADOPTED. Our application can be found at haydudeequine.org. 🎸 Mick Wagger here... and yes, I rock. Before you ask... yes, I know I'm ridiculously handsome. Between my striking eyes, my one-of-a-kind eye patch, and my adorably floppy ears, I tend to turn a few heads wherever I go. What can I say? I was born to be a star. I'm about 10 months old, weigh around 45 pounds, and my people think I'm a Catahoula/Lab mix. That means I'm smart, athletic, and always up for a good time—but don't worry, I'm not one of those dogs who needs to run a marathon before breakfast. I'd call myself medium energy. I'm just as happy going for a nice walk as I am hanging out with my favorite people afterward. One of my favorite things? Making friends! I love other dogs and have a sweet, easygoing personality that makes me a great companion. Whether we're exploring the neighborhood, playing in the yard, or relaxing at home, I'm simply happy to be part of the fun. I'm still young, so I'm excited to keep learning and discovering the world with my forever family. All I need is a little love, a few treats, and someone willing to tell me what a good boy I am (which, let's be honest, won't be hard). So if you've been looking for a loyal sidekick with rock-star looks and an even bigger heart, your search is officially over. You can't always get what you want... but if you adopt me, you just might find you get exactly what you need. Love, Mick Wagger 🐾🎸

Story
This 3-year-old Pitbull/Pointer mix is an energetic, inquisitive, and affectionate pup! At about 54 lbs, Cosma "sings" a sweet little "OOOOoooOOO" instead of barking when she's extra happy to see you.Cosma is house-trained, crate-trained, and thriving with a solid potty routine of about four outings a day. She's a quick learner who already knows how to sit and roll over and is working on polishing her manners (mostly keeping those paws off the counter). She will require a securely fenced yard or close supervision outdoors due to safety concerns. She has a calm to moderate energy level, especially around people and in familiar environments. She enjoys a 30-minute walk in the morning and another in the evening, spending most of her time sniffing and taking in the world around her. Before her morning walk or whenever she's especially excited, she often gets the zoomies and can jump nearly 4 feet straight into the air! After her walks, she's happy to curl up for a nap, chew on a hard toy, or stretch into her own version of doggy yoga. Belly rubs are one of her favorite things.Cosma loves staying busy -- whether she's people-watching through the window, squeaking a toy, carefully hiding a treasured cheese bone, or enjoying her favorite freeze-dried meat treats. On walks, she sometimes points, lifts a paw, and tilts her head as she watches birds, squirrels, or other interesting sights. She may stare at or run toward other dogs or small animals, but these behaviors appear to stem from uncertainty rather than aggression. She can be a little unsure when meeting new people, but with a few treats and some patience, she warms up nicely. She previously lived with a male dog but has since become dog-selective and worked with a trainer. Cosma will require a dog- and cat-free home at this time. She has also met children and slowly warmed up to them with proper introductions.Cosma enjoys being close to her people and may have mild separation anxiety, often choosing to sit beside you or even on your lap if you'll let her. She sometimes naps in her crate, and when left home alone in it, she settles quietly without barking or whining.Overall, Cosma is a healthy dog. She occasionally gets minor scratches on her legs from enthusiastic zoomies and rolling in the grass and may benefit from routine anal gland checks. She also experiences occasional seasonal sneezing and itchiness that are easily managed with Benadryl as needed. One of Cosma's most charming features is her adorable asymmetrical face. She has white eyelashes on the right side, black eyelashes on the left, a slightly smaller right ear, and even a unique paw-shaped birthmark on her right inner thigh.Lightly vocal and quick to alert to unfamiliar noises, Cosma can also be wary of people wearing bulky winter clothing. Overall, she's a loving, expressive, food-motivated companion with a heart of gold. If you're looking for a smart, loyal best friend with a cosmic name and a one-of-a-kind personality, Cosma might just be your perfect match. If you are interested in Cosma, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450.
