Story
Current Location: Ijamsville, MD Meet Toliver! 🐾 I’m Toliver, a striking 3-year-old Dalmatian ready to bring spots of joy into your life! At a handsome 46 pounds, I'm a friendly, neutered guy who is already house-trained and great on a leash, making our daily walks together an absolute breeze. True to my breed I'm an incredibly affectionate companion who loves being close to my people who requires a lot of exercise or a backyard I can run around in and do zoomies. Because I value feeling safe and secure, I’m looking for an adults-only home or one with older children that can provide me with a calm environment. Someone(s) that understand I can be a little nervous when meeting new faces at first, but once I warm up, my loving side shines right through. I also enjoy the company of other dogs! I just need slow, structured introductions to canine pals so we can build a great relationship at a comfortable pace. If you're ready for a rewarding partnership with a wonderful, loyal pup, come meet me and let's start our adventure together! This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to the rescue. The disease was treated while in foster care. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable. Story
Meet Libby! Libby is a 4.5-month-old Dalmatian puppy with a whole lot of energy, personality, and potential packed into her adorable spotted body. Surrendered from a commercial breeder because she is deaf, Libby has already overcome so much and is now searching for a home that understands and appreciates just how special she is. This girl is incredibly smart, active, and always ready for adventure. She learns quickly and loves having a job to do, but like any young puppy, she still needs continued training, structure, and guidance. Her foster family has been working on communication and engagement skills, and Libby is proving to be a bright, eager learner. Libby loves other dogs and currently lives successfully with both large and small dogs in her foster home. Because she cannot hear social cues, introductions should be done thoughtfully and preferably off leash in a neutral setting. Once comfortable, she enjoys having canine companions to play with and learn from. She also gets along well with cats and even pigs. She adores children and is affectionate with everyone she meets, but she still has a puppy's enthusiasm and can be jumpy when seeking attention. For that reason, a home with children ages 10 and older would be preferred. Because Libby is deaf and will require ongoing training using visual cues and positive reinforcement, we are looking for a family with previous deaf dog experience. Dalmatian experience would be an added bonus. She is not a good fit for apartment living due to her energy level and tendency to vocalize when frustrated. Libby is a fun, loving, high-energy puppy who will thrive with an active, committed family willing to invest the time needed to help her reach her full potential. If you're experienced with deaf dogs and looking for an incredibly rewarding companion, Libby may be the perfect addition to your family. She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. Apply for adoption at www.phoenixanimalrescue.com Adoption fee: $500 Phoenix Animal Rescue Chester Springs, Pa Kennel License #5152

Story
Lily: mixed breed (unknown), 1 year old. She is spayed and up-to-date on shots. This bright and ambitious girl is house-broken and crate-trained. Lily loves to play with other dogs and go on walks. She rides well in a vehicle, and her attention is on her human while walking on a leash. Although she is shy and skittish around new people, with a little patience and time, she warms up and wants to be with her human. Due to her boundless energy level, I recommend a fenced yard for her to run around in or an owner who will walk her several times daily. Follow-up training (with Canine Services By Devin) is suggested to keep Lily going in a positive direction and eventually off-leash training if desired. Lily is being fostered in Spring Grove, PA.
