Luna is a 5 year old Dalmatian/Lab mix She weighs about 50 pounds and is house-trained, crate-trained, and walks well on leash. She has grown up with kids and is gentle with all ages and loves to give kisses. She loves squeaky toys and snuggles and playing in the backyard to keep an eye on the squirrels! She is highly trainable and super eager to please. Luna was born deaf but was taught hand commands from age 5 months. She responds well to visual cues and is eager to learn more. Deaf dogs are just like regular dogs, you simply communicate with them a little differently! If Luna sounds like the perfect addition to your family but you are worried about her being deaf don't be! We will include sessions with our trainer for any interested family to help make the transition super easy! Luna either needs to be an only dog (as being deaf other dogs can startle her) or potentially with a calm male dog. We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.

I love Perseus but I recently was in an accident and found out I won’t be able to walk for 4-6 months. She’s 5 years old and weighs about 60lbs. She loves being outdoors and loves to play fetch. She’s EXTREMELY intelligent and gets along with anyone or anything. She’s had one litter of pups and is now spayed. Shots are all up to date. No fleas and no issues whatsoever. I will miss her so much but I just can’t take care of her right now. Free to a good home!

Aries is a very sweet girl! I’ve had her since she was a pup 10 years ago. She was hit by a truck 5 years ago and had to have surgery on her left hip. She gets around fine but some days she’s slower and her hip bothers her. She’s house trained and does well with other dogs. She’s had two litters of puppies in her time. She’s fixed and is up to date on shots. I recently fell out of a truck and tore my ACL so I’m out of work right now and won’t be able to go back for a few months. I can barely get around the house and can’t give Aries the attention she needs. She is free to a good home!
