Story
Luna is a 5 year old Dalmatian/Lab mix She weighs about 50 pounds and is house-trained, crate-trained, and walks well on leash. She has grown up with kids and is gentle with all ages and loves to give kisses. She loves squeaky toys and snuggles and playing in the backyard to keep an eye on the squirrels! She is highly trainable and super eager to please. Luna was born deaf but was taught hand commands from age 5 months. She responds well to visual cues and is eager to learn more. Deaf dogs are just like regular dogs, you simply communicate with them a little differently! If Luna sounds like the perfect addition to your family but you are worried about her being deaf don't be! We will include sessions with our trainer for any interested family to help make the transition super easy! Luna either needs to be an only dog (as being deaf other dogs can startle her) or potentially with a calm male dog. We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.

Story
Making the decision to rehome Pickle has been incredibly difficult, but we know he deserves a home where he can truly thrive. Our multi-dog household isn't the right fit for him, and he would do best as the only dog.Pickle is a 4-year-old Dalmador (Dalmatian/Lab mix) who is affectionate, loyal, and loves nothing more than playing fetch and cuddling with his people. When he's overly excited or knows he's in trouble, he does the "dalmation smile". He's great with toddlers and older kids, but he's uncomfortable around babies. He does not do well with male dogs. He has done okay with small female dogs, but we'd strongly prefer he be the only dog in the home so he can be successful. He is picky about his friends. A fenced yard is a must, and we're looking for someone who will give him the love, attention, and active lifestyle he deserves. This decision comes from love, and we're committed to finding him the perfect forever home. ❤️

Story
Pepper is approximately 4 Months old and weighs 25 pounds. She will probably be about 50-55 pounds when grown. She is easy to work with and a complete love-bug. Pepper does well on the leash and she goes on a daily walk with one of our other dogs. Pepper has been excellent with feeding, potty training, and crate training. Pepper seems to do well on short car rides. She currently lives with 3 other dogs and gets along well with them. Pepper is friendly but she is shy with new people. She would do well with a family with older children that have been exposed to dogs and knows how to be gentle. Pepper is leash, house and crate trained. She has not been in a home with cats so we don't know how she would react to one. Overall, Pepper is just an awesome, pretty chill dog. She loves her belly rubs and being pet (her fur is so soft). She loves to play with her toys, she loves playing and napping with the other dogs. If you are interested in meeting Pepper, please complete our adoption application at https://dashingdogrescue.com/adoption.php

Story
Shayla’s story could have gone very differently. She came to Humane Tomorrow with a group of dogs left to survive on their own in a drug-infested neighborhood in East Texas. Covered in demodectic mange and missing much of her beautiful coat, Shayla looked rough around the edges, but her sweet spirit never disappeared. With a little medicine, good food, and plenty of love, she has blossomed into the brindle princess she was always meant to be. ✨ Now this gorgeous girl is thriving. Shayla weighs about 40 lbs, the perfect medium size. She is good with dogs of all sizes, male and female, young and old, small to large. She is a well behaved girl with a medium energy level. She will need some exercise and play time to keep her healthy and happy. Shayla is smart, too. She knows how to use a dog door, loves curling up beside you in bed all night, and lives for a good game of fetch. Toss the ball once and you’ll have a devoted fan club for life. After everything she’s been through, Shayla is more than ready for a safe, happy home where she’ll never be forgotten again. She does sadly have heartworms but has started her treatment, which is paid by Humane Tomorrow’s amazing donors.

Story
Looking for a whole big, hunk of hound in your life? Bear is ready to meet you. Well, kind of. Bear was taught early to be aware of stranger danger so he needs a minute to check you out before just jumping in and giving you a hug. Once you are in his circle you will be there for life. Bear can flow with life as you need. He has been a great playmate with a number of dogs and is a Camp Bow Wow regular but would likely be happy as the single guy in your life *Got a soft dog bed in every room? Fabulous - he'll use them all *Enjoy a game of tug that you probably won't win? Perfect - he's going to be sure to win *Road tripper? All good but you better bring the road snacks *Lace up for a long walk or hike and he'll be at the door waiting with leash in paw. Bear would be a great dude dog, single lady friend or family man. Let him know what you need and he'll be there.
