Story

Dolly is just over a year old and we believe she is a German Shepherd/Dalmatian mix. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, well trained, and uses a doggy door. She currently lives happily with 4 kids, 1 dog, and 1 cat and has had no issues with children or other animals. She is an amazing, loving girl with lots of energy! We are looking for a new home where Dolly can get the time, exercise, and attention she deserves. She would thrive with an active family with room to run and someone who enjoys walks, running, and outdoor adventures. This is a very difficult decision because Dolly is truly a wonderful dog. We just want to find her the home where she can thrive.

Luna is a 7 year old Dalmatian/Lab mix She weighs about 50 pounds and is house-trained, crate-trained, and walks well on leash. She has grown up with kids and is gentle with all ages and loves to give kisses. She loves squeaky toys and snuggles and playing in the backyard to keep an eye on the squirrels! She is highly trainable and super eager to please. Luna was born deaf but was taught hand commands from age 5 months. She responds well to visual cues and is eager to learn more. Deaf dogs are just like regular dogs, you simply communicate with them a little differently! If Luna sounds like the perfect addition to your family but you are worried about her being deaf don't be! We will include sessions with our trainer for any interested family to help make the transition super easy! Luna either needs to be an only dog (as being deaf other dogs can startle her) or potentially with a calm male dog. We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
