He does not get along with large dogs but is ok with small dogs. He loves children. It would be best if he goes to an experienced dog owner and is the only dog.

Luna is a 5 year old Dalmatian/Lab mix She weighs about 50 pounds and is house-trained, crate-trained, and walks well on leash. She has grown up with kids and is gentle with all ages and loves to give kisses. She loves squeaky toys and snuggles and playing in the backyard to keep an eye on the squirrels! She is highly trainable and super eager to please. Luna was born deaf but was taught hand commands from age 5 months. She responds well to visual cues and is eager to learn more. Deaf dogs are just like regular dogs, you simply communicate with them a little differently! If Luna sounds like the perfect addition to your family but you are worried about her being deaf don't be! We will include sessions with our trainer for any interested family to help make the transition super easy! Luna either needs to be an only dog (as being deaf other dogs can startle her) or potentially with a calm male dog. We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.

I am the adorable Wrangler and I have been working mighty hard to learn the ropes, so that I have what it takes to be the ‘best dog ever’ for one lucky family! I have mastered “Sit” and started learning “Come,” and “Down", which I must say, am getting the hang of it. As for “Off”, I know what it means but I just get so excited sometimes HeeHee. What do you expect, I'm still a baby. I do very well walking on a leash. I see well enough to git around and do well with a doggy door. I sleep in a bed with my human all night. I do fine corralled in a crate when my people are away as long as another dog is nearby for company. In my perfect forever home, my humans would be around all or most of the time and I would have a dog “pardner” to play with in our fenced in yard.
