Story
Max was my mother's dog before she passed away on 10/31/2025. He is the sweetest little cuddle bug and is hyper aware of your mood and will be there for you anytime you need a hug or love. He loves to play ball but will also curl up with you or on his bed and enjoy a calm night in. I wish I could keep him but I just don't have to space or resources to give him the life he deserves.

Story
I am a 5 year old Dalmatian who is ready to find my forever family. While I love my daily walks, my absolute favorite activity is being wherever you are. I am a true velcro dog, who loves to.lean against your legs and curl up for snuggle time. I am house trained, gentle, and smart. I can be a little excited when meeting new people at first, but once I know you, I am devoted for life. I am looking for a loving, patient home where I can get lots of attention and be a true part of the family. Friendly and socialized!

Story
Meet Joy — a pup true to her name!Joy is a 5-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix (about 49 lbs) whose biggest talent is making everyone around her feel… joyful. She’s gentle, affectionate and easy-going with her people.Joy loves being close to humans. After playtime, she’s perfectly happy to settle down at your feet or cuddle on the couch for a quiet evening. She has a medium energy level- she enjoys playful bursts, backyard zoomies and walks, but she’s not a nonstop athlete. She’d much rather spend time with her family than patrol the yard all day. She’s fantastic with kids and has been especially sweet and gentle with an 8-year-old in her foster home. Joy loves fiercely and has a tender, forgiving spirit that really shines around children. She takes treats politely and has an adorable habit of trying to give “hugs” by placing her paws on your waist.About her:House manners? Nailed it.Fully potty trainedSleeps quietly in her crate all night (and actually likes it!)Walks nicely on leashNo issues with people or handlingJoy enjoys playing with other dogs, especially dogs her own size who like to wrestle and roughhouse a bit. Her play style can be energetic and physical, so she would do best with confident canine companions who match her size and play energy. She has done well coexisting peacefully with some dogs in her foster home, though play can occasionally become intense with certain personalities.Because of her strong prey drive, Joy should not live with cats or small animals. She is highly focused on squirrels and birds outdoors and would likely chase them if given the opportunity. She also prefers having her toys and bones respected by other dogs, so thoughtful supervision around high-value items is important.Despite an unknown past, Joy has proven to be remarkably trusting, loving, and adaptable. She’s looking for a home that understands her playful, spirited nature and will give her the companionship, structure and affection she thrives on.She’s ready to be someone’s forever companion! Maybe yours?! Joy is currently in a loving foster home in the Houston, Texas area. She is able to travel out of state and we can typically arrange transportation. Story
Meet Snoopy Snoopy’s story is one we will never forget. When we found him at the shelter, he was heartbreakingly thin — little more than skin and bones — and clearly had not been shown much kindness in his life. Yet even in the middle of his own fear and uncertainty, Snoopy stood protectively by his kennel mate, quietly trying to keep them both safe. That told us everything we needed to know about his heart. This striking black-and-white pointer mix is expected to be around 40–50 pounds once he regains weight and finally gets the care he deserves. He's about 2 years old. Despite everything he has endured, Snoopy remains incredibly sweet, gentle, and eager for love. He just wants someone to sit beside him, reassure him, and show him that the world can still be good. Snoopy has survived neglect. He has survived fear. Now he deserves the chance to truly live — with a family who will never let him feel unwanted again. Won’t you be the one to give Snoopy the happy ending he has waited so patiently for? Visit www.scoutshonor.org for more informationMay 30, 2026, 11:47 am
