Story
Armstrong is a 9 month old male Doberman mix. He seems like he will be smaller than a purebred Doberman. He is dog and people friendly. He also does well around his foster mom’s horses. He likes to chase small animals. Armstrong is so smart and sweet. He loves to run and play. He knows some commands including sit. He loves treats and attention. Armstrong was dumped with his four other siblings on a property in Modesto. They were taken to a high kill shelter where all were adopted but Armstrong. He was set to be euthanized due to overpopulation, so we pulled him. At the shelter, he was sweet but shy. In foster, he is very energetic, confident, playful and affectionate.

Story
Our sweet Dobie Lucy pulled quite a bit on her leash...then someone walked her in a figure 8 and suddenly she calmed down, didn't pull, and checked in... Who knew!?And then we found out how smart Lucy is. She knows stay, sit, watch me, wait, gentle treat taking, and shake...And then we pushed it up a notch...foot/left paw, right pawâ&#194&#128&#194&#148she hit her mark every time! Who knew?!She also has a great lean...She has no problem with you trying to make her wonky ear stay straight...but it won't.So if you want to be impressed by her smarts and good looks, make an appointment to meet here at yoloshelter.org/adopt. Then take her home and teach her a bunch more fun commands!February 10, 2026, 1:59 am

Story
Meet Jalebi! If you’ve been looking for a jogging partner who will never cancel on you, Jalebi is ready to lace up and go! This friendly, very active girl recently enjoyed a Doggie Day Out and made it clear, she loves to move and be with her people.Jalebi is happiest when she’s on the go. Whether it’s chasing a tennis ball (retrieving is her jam!) or exploring the yard, she brings joyful, nonstop energy to the day. Even when given the chance to rest, she chose to stay engaged and close to her humans, tail wagging and ready for the next adventure. She’s currently a bit underweight, but that hasn’t slowed her down one bit, and with regular meals and love, she’ll fill out in no time. She was definitely hungry on her outing (even sampling a few fallen berries!), so a consistent feeding routine will help her thrive.Jalebi is already learning her manners. She’s picking up “sit” quickly and is working on taking treats gently, she’s not quite perfect yet, but she’s eager and improving every day. With her food motivation and enthusiasm, she’ll be a fun and rewarding dog to train.Jalebi would do best in an active home that can give her plenty of exercise, structure, and playtime. In return, you’ll get a loyal, energetic companion who’s always ready for the next run, game of fetch, or backyard adventure. If you’re looking for a happy, athletic best friend to keep up with your lifestyle, Jalebi is ready to go!

Very friendly and active dog. 2 1/2 years old, lots of energy! Unfortunately I have developed medical issues, and he doesn't get along with my cats as well.
