Meet Achilles! Like so many innocent pups, Achilles was going to be euthanized at the Coachella Shelter because there’s no space. This sweet 11 months old pup was surrendered to the shelter because his family was “moving” and didn’t want him anymore. Sadly, his story is one we hear all the time and we are so sick of it. He lived at the shelter for over 3 months, patiently waiting for someone to save him. Dooms day arrived for him to be euthanized and we saved him in the knick of time. We didn’t want to see another special pup die because of irresponsible people. He’s been in an amazing foster home who has been giving him endless love while he decompresses from shelter life. This Doberman Pinscher Mix is as dreamy as it gets. Achilles is remarkably well adjusted to his new foster home where he’s been described as “happy, loving and energetic”. He loves his foster sister and they instantly became best friends. He loves to cuddle on the sofa with his humans and foster sister. At night, he’s been sleeping peacefully in the bed with his foster parents. When he’s not lounging, he loves to play with toys, go for walks around the neighborhood and car rides. He walks perfectly on a leash which is a huge bonus. When his fosters aren’t home, he is totally content being in his crate. Achilles would be the perfect companion for all different kinds of households. His foster says that “whoever is his forever family will be very very lucky to get him.”

Meet Halo! She is a 3 month old Doberman. She is a very special puppy! We rescued her at one week old as a single pup turned into the shelter without a mom or any litter mates. We couldn’t figure out why she was turned in alone. Once we were on our way back home we discovered she was very injured and had a very large wound on one of her back legs. Its was very ugly, infected and to the bone. We rushed her to the vet and she required a lot of medical care those first few weeks of her life. She has since healed perfectly fine and she is now ready for her new home! Halo is one of those once in a life time dogs. You know the kind, they are wise beyond their years and just seem to connect with their people. They want to please you and understand what you need and how they can make you happy. She is gorgeous and sweet and loving. She has known. Nothing but goodness since we rescued her. She is working on crate training and she is doing pretty good. She will cry to let you know she needs to go outside. She has grown up with other dogs and cats. She loves people. We would prefer that Halo go to a home with another large breed male dog. She loves her foster brother and is learning so much from him. We are expecting Halo to be about 65-70 pounds as an adult. She currently weighs 13 pounds as a 2 month old pup. We will be picky about the home that we will place Halo in. She is extremely special and we have gone through a lot with her (medically) during her short life.
