She was abandoned and hit by car, causing her to lose her puppies and then to have ACL surgery to mend a broken leg and hip. Yet her gentle spirit never wavered. She's a fighter and remains the sweetest, friendliest soul. Despite her ordeal, she never lost her playful side. EVIE's favorite pastime is playing with her squeaky toy, which she carries everywhere. She's also incredibly cuddly and loyal, always seeking out human companionship. EVIE's resilience and loving nature make her an amazing companion. Her bravery and sweetness are an inspiration. HOW ABOUT MEETING SIR RUFUS !! Take a look at his video on this site! Doberman/Rottie mix (best guess) 8-9 years young and approximately 45lbs. Rufus was found as a stray in the Lancaster hills. Coyote bait? Why people want to do that with nice dogs is such a mystery. Rufus does NOT act his age...he feels younger. He gets joyful & animated when someone throws BALLS..he's a pro at chasing/catching balls. He prefers a casual stroll more than a jogging partner.... Rufus is a good couch partner. Rufus will also be your alert dog....letting you know when someone is coming! RUFUS could be an ONLY DOG or BE A BUDDY DOG with another Friendly dog. Rufus does like to please his human and also has an independent streak. He enjoys playing in the yard. Rufus is a good companion and we are looking for him to have that home where he gets TO BE INCLUDED WITH HIS FAMILY ADVENTURES. Rufus is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. We are only adopting out in Southern California. With an approved application & a home check we offer a 2 week trial period. Story

Extremely sweet dog! She was found as a stray in bad shape. She was very weak, hiding/sheltering under a trailer. Thankfully someone reached out to our friends at Hope For Paws and they were able to get her to safety. She came to us and built up her strength before she was able to be spayed. She is clumsy on smooth/slippery floors so we currently use no slip mats so she can make it across the main room. She is very playful in spurts when she is outside with her dog friends. She is gentle with children and will bark at strangers when they approach the house but it’s more of a warning, we don’t think she would ever harm any living thing. Her poor body shows signs of multiple litters. We suspect she was dumped by a breeder once they were done with her. Bad humans. :(. But she’s better off now.
