Route was found running the streets, scared, emaciated, and we could tell that she had not been socialized with people or other pets, but she is coming along SO WELL! Soon after she was rescued, as a complete shock to everyone, Route gave birth to 2 puppies, but neither survived, most likely due to her condition coming in. In a year, Route has experienced a lot. Every dog needs Love, we Route was blessed with the most loving Foster so she is learning to be loved and give love Very Well. Route loves cats, and is learning to love/trust other dogs. She's still a puppy herself and just wants to trust other dogs, and play When meeting this special girl, she may take a little time to warm up as she is still learning to trust, but this girl is SO worth the time to gain her trust. This is our handsome boy Canelo. We got him when he was 7 weeks old. He is good with his kids, my niece grew up with him. Our girl had a liter of pups 3 years ago and we kept a male pup. We noticed Canelo become jealous and more territorial when his son was 2 years old. Recently, both Canelo and his son got into a fight and unfortunately we have to rehome him. He is a sweetheart and loves to be pet only when he comes to you. If he’s laying down or has a toy, treat or is eating, he doesn’t like to be pet. He’s territorial (as you may know Dobermans are) when he has a treat or something like a shoe or toy or ball. Whenever he gets our outside shoes, we have to him a treat or distract him with something else so he can let go of the item and then we would be able to take it away. 😅 He is not neutered, he is up to date with vaccines. We recently updated his rabies shot for 3 years. He does not have any health concerns that we know of.

Our neighbor was getting rid of him as a puppy and we took him in, not knowing how much he would grow. He is such an amazing dog. But our schedule is full with our kids sports. He stays home alone for most of the day and gets into trouble. He digs holes in my back yard and destroys every bed I get him. It's just his way to show us he needs attention and training that sadly we can't provide. He needs space and a dedicated owner that will give him training and time he deserves. He barks very loudly when people come to the house and won't stop until he has been properly introduced to the visitors. I have kids, 5 and 11 years old and he is amazing with them and never has shown signs of aggression. I have hired three different dog sitters when I have been out of town and haven't had any complaints. I pray that I find a good loving home for him. His birthday is July 27, 2023
