Handsome, young, and full of curiosity; that’s me! I’m a 1-year-old Doberman Pinscher mix who came to HSVC as a stray, and I’ve been stealing hearts with my sweet, energetic personality. I’ve got a lot of love to give, and I’m not shy about asking for it; I’ll nuzzle in close, lean against you, and even paw your hand if you stop petting too soon. I adore toys, treats, and being around humans, and I’ve got a goofy charm that shines through once I get going.On leash, I’ve got some learning to do; I need some help with my leash manners but its only because I’m so curious about the world, and with a little guidance and consistency, I know I can get better. I’m well-behaved overall, don’t bark too much, and I’m eager to please. With other dogs, I’ve got good potential, and while I haven’t met kids yet, I’ve got the sweet nature that suggests I could do well with them. If you’re looking for a loving, playful, slightly silly boy who will keep you on your toes and your heart full, I just might be your perfect match.

She was abandoned and hit by car, causing her to lose her puppies and then to have ACL surgery to mend a broken leg and hip. Yet her gentle spirit never wavered. She's a fighter and remains the sweetest, friendliest soul. Despite her ordeal, she never lost her playful side. EVIE's favorite pastime is playing with her squeaky toy, which she carries everywhere. She's also incredibly cuddly and loyal, always seeking out human companionship. EVIE's resilience and loving nature make her an amazing companion. Her bravery and sweetness are an inspiration. MEET BLITZ, an 85-lb stunning Doberman male who is waiting for his forever home. Blitz is a large Dobie, almost 2 years old. He is a dark red, almost chocolate color and is magnificent in appearance. Blitz is currently in training in the Los Angeles area to overcome some fears and quirks he has had in the past. He is affectionate with people he knows but in the past was tense and suspicious with strangers, especially if he is in a confined space. He can also be a bit stubborn, though his training is helping tremendously. Blitz gets along great with other dogs-- he has previously lived happily with a female Doberman in his foster home. Because of his size and strength, a home without small children is mandatory. Blitz has high energy and would benefit from having a yard, where he can run and play. Blitz is hypo-thyroid so is on inexpensive thyroid medication, which will likely be forever. We believe Blitz is of European ancestry and like all Euro-Dobies, he has heavier bones and a larger head than the more petite American Dobies. Blitz is without question a lot of dog! But he is a lot of really good dog. Doberman or large-dog experience is a must for his adoption. Please email for an application.
