Story
Adoption fee: $300 DISCLSIMER: Sam is a true working Doberman. He has natural protection instincts that the average family cannot handle. He will only be adopted to a home that intends to seriously train and work him, and will absolutely not be homed with any children under the age of 15. Physical appearance: Sam is an all-natural, black and tan, male Doberman that is about 4 years old. He is average size for a male Doberman with a weight of 71lbs. Personality: Sam is a wonderful dog with a sweet and playful personality with his family.  He is BFFs with his foster sister and they hang out together and play all the time. While his natural ears and tail make him absolutely adorable looking, he is also an intense watch dog and protector. He is very protective of his foster mom which has led to an incident where he nipped a guest.  He is not a dog you can expect to be social. if you have people in and out of your house all the time, he is not the dog for you. He is a true Doberman and is not what you commonly find in a rescue dog.  He is fearless, intense, and alert but he is not aggressive.  He needs an experienced owner that knows how to train and lead him and will not leave him to his own devices. He does well with both men and women once he gets to know them, but initially is extra wary of men. he needs a proper introduction and for his owner to show him that they are okay. He will not be adopted to a home with any male dogs, but females are fine. He will also not be adopted to a home with small children. We will require all kids to be over 15 years old. Why he’s in rescue: Sam has an unusual rescue story. A friend of the rescue was working in Qatar where Dobermans are illegal.  Despite them being illegal, many of the wealthier residents import them anyways. They usually import them from Serbia and get them based on the idea of a Doberman, leaving them as decorations or using them as guard dogs as opposed to pets.  Sam's owner no longer wanted him and he was abandoned at a kennel. Our friend contacted us asking if we would take him if she brought him back with her. If we didn't, he'd likely be euthanized or abandoned in the desert unfortunately common for unwanted dogs). We couldn't say no. Manners and training: Sam is crate trained, potty trained, and does pretty well on a leash.  He is a fast learner and would excel at any sort of training or sport you wanted to do with him, especially obedience or schutzhund/bite work.  If you've wanted a dog you can do sports with, this is the dog for you. He is not suitable as a couch potato, and we will require his adopter to be registered for training classes before he can be adopted. He is currently working with a trainer in Lawrenceville that specializes in working dogs and absolutely adores him. We have had an evaluation done by her that we are happy to share with prospective adopters. if possible, we would love to see him continue his training with her.  Vetting: All our dogs are brought up to date on rabies, Bordetella, and combo, negative for intestinal parasites and heartworms, neutered and microchipped before adoption.   ##1810600##

Story
Meet Jet: Your Dobby-Eared Adventure Buddy! Adoption Fee: $350 Hey there, I’m Jet! I’m a 6-year-old red Doberman with natural ears that stand straight up when I’m curious—yep, kind of like Dobby! I’m about 62 lbs now after some TLC, daily exercise, and home-cooked meals. A Little About Me: Personality:I’m sweet, affectionate, and totally devoted to my people. I do have some anxious energy, so I thrive with structure and exercise. Without that, I can get overly attached and protective, so I’m looking for an experienced home—no small kids, please, but teens are great! I’m not a fan of cats and prefer calmer dog friends if any, but honestly, I’d be happiest as your one and only. My Story:I was found as a stray and taken in by the shelter. When no one came for me, Georgia Doberman Rescue stepped up to help me find my forever home. Manners and Training:I’m potty trained, crate trained, and ride well in the car. I even do great when left loose at home! I know “sit” and walk nicely on leash with my e-collar (I can get excited around other animals). I’m a high-energy guy and need a fenced yard for zoomies. At night, I curl up solo on the couch, ready to greet you in the morning. Health and Vetting:I’m neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccines. I’m heartworm and parasite-free, had my teeth cleaned in March, and even get my nails dremeled weekly. I’m a champ at bath time too! Why You’ll Love Me:If you're looking for a loyal, goofy, and loving companion who’s always ready for an adventure—or a couch nap—I’m your guy. Can’t wait to meet you! Story
Adoption fee: $300 Physical appearance: Kali is a 6-year-old, black and tan, female Doberman with natural ears and a docked tail. She is a big girl at 90 pounds. Kali was born with one eye that is smaller than the other, a condition called uveitis that has caused blindness in that eye, and she will require daily eye medication to keep her comfortable. Personality, Manners, and Training: Kali was previously adopted from GDR but was returned due to changing family circumstances. This girl is an A-class snuggler and LOVES her people. She is a wonderful family dog who does great with kids. Kali has energy and will run and play as much as you let her so she needs a real outlet for her energy. She loves playing with tennis balls and other toys. Sometimes she will bark and whine to protest not getting her way, so she won't be good for an apartment, townhome, or condo. She needs someone who won't give into her every protest or just let her do whatever she wants. She knows how to sit and wait patiently for her dinner until you tell her to eat, and she is crate trained, but she will try to convince you that she isn't. Her leash training could use some work. She gets along with other dogs, but needs a slow and careful introduction. She also gets along with cats and even rabbits.  Vetting: All our dogs are brought up to date on Rabies, Bordetella, and combo, negative for intestinal parasites and heartworms, spayed, and microchipped before adoption. ##127561##

Story
Adoption Fee: $350 Meet Keisha: Your Loving, Bouncy, Cuddle-Fueled Sidekick! Hey there, I’m Keisha! I’m a 2-year-old red and rust Doberman with natural ears, a docked tail, and a heart that’s absolutely bursting with love (and zoomies). If you’re looking for a goofy, affectionate, and slightly spastic best friend, you’ve come to the right place. A Little About Me: Personality:I’m the definition of a love bug. Pets? Yes, please. Cuddles? Don’t even ask—just bring it in. I’ve got an enthusiastic, happy-go-lucky spirit and love everyone I meet, especially kids. I’m still learning not to jump up when I get excited (which is basically all the time), but I really do adore the little ones and want to be near them. My Story:I was an owner surrender when my family had to move and couldn’t find a rental that would allow a big dog like me. I miss them, but I’m thriving in rescue and ready to find a new family to love. Manners and Training:I’m crate trained, potty trained, and doing well on a leash—I just need a bit more practice. I didn’t have any training before coming into rescue, so I’m starting from scratch, but I’m eager to learn! Treats help. (Did I mention I’m always hungry?) Special Considerations:I’m still gaining weight, but I’m looking and feeling better every day. As for cats... I rush toward them, so I’m probably not the best match for a feline sibling. With dogs, I seem to do fine, but I’m still learning how to share space politely. Let’s just say I have a big personality! Health and Vetting:I’m spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and negative for both heartworms and intestinal parasites. I’m all set and ready to move in! Why You’ll Love Me:If you’ve got room in your home (and on your couch) for a loving, snuggly, slightly chaotic companion who lives to love you, I’m your girl. Let’s build a life full of cuddles, laughs, and maybe a little obedience training. Apply to adopt me today! Can’t wait to meet you! Love,Keishab ##2460795##

Story
Meet Kodo! Kodo is a lover not a fighter. I am not his original owner. I rescued Kodo after a police officer decided to surrender him at 1 years old because he wasn't aggressive enough. Kodo met my doberman Candy in training class and they have been best friends, and I wish I could keep them together, but their trainer is wanting to adopt Candy, but cannot take both dogs, so I need to find a home for Kodo. Kodo LOVES to cuddle. My other doberman kind of wears me out with all of her energy, but Kodo is the exact opposite. He loves to get outside and run around, but he is also very happy chilling up under you. Kodo is also crate trained so will be find spending time in a crate when you are not home. Kodo's commands are in German for Sit, Stay, Heel, and Down.
