Story
Meet Titi – Your New Best Friend! Titi is one of the friendliest young pups you’ll ever meet! This easygoing boy has a laid-back personality and would fit in perfectly with just about any family. Whether you're relaxing at home or heading out for an adventure, Titi is ready to be by your side. He’s a dream in the car—making him the perfect co-pilot for road trips or quick errands. Titi is crate-trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and gets along great with other dogs, especially those his size or smaller. If you’re looking for a sweet, adaptable companion who’s always happy to make new friends, Titi is the one for you! All of our adoptables are in Houston until adopted.  You can see this post because one of our foster homes are 250 mile radius from your home.  Unfortunately meet & greets are not possible as they all arrive already adopted.   Our adoption fee includes transport, all age required shots, microchip, & a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. We look forward to receiving your application! We will review it shortly and give you a call to set up a phone interview.  We are thrilled to offer transport services every 3 weeks from Houston to the Pacific Northwest, the Midwest, and the East Coast, ensuring that these incredible pets can find their way to you no matter where you are. This makes the adoption process smooth and convenient, allowing you to focus on welcoming your new family member with open arms. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future away from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive. Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping. Story
It breaks my heart to say this, but we're looking to rehome our dog, Bourbon. He's been with our family since he was a puppy and is now 9 years old. Bourbon is a very loving and social dog who gets along great with people, other dogs, and has always been wonderful with our two kids. We've consistently kept up with his annual wellness exams and vaccinations, and he's been on monthly flea and tick prevention his whole life. He's never had any health issues and has always been a happy, healthy dog. Unfortunately, due to a recent job relocation and our current living situation, we can no longer provide him with the home he deserves. This has been an incredibly difficult decision, but at this point, we have no other options. Bourbon would make a loyal, affectionate addition to any family, and we're hoping to find him a home where he'll be loved and well cared for, just as he's always been with us. P.S. If you decide to adopt Bourbon, we will help pay to have him neutered (up to $150).

Story
Amber Was Left Behind — But You Don’t Have To Leave Her Story Here Imagine this: it’s over 100 degrees outside in the Houston heat. You’re tied up under a bridge with two of your closest companions. You’re thirsty, scared, and have no idea why the people you trusted disappeared. That was Amber’s reality. She and two small dogs were dumped under an overpass like trash. Left in the heat with no food, no water, and no chance, unless someone stepped in. A kind stranger found them and scrambled to get help. But here’s the heartbreaking part: rescues said they’d take the two little dogs, but not Amber. She was too big. Too “hard to place.” They were willing to save two... and leave one behind. But not us. Scout’s Honor said yes to all three. Because we believe every dog matters, especially the ones no one else will help. And thank goodness we did. Amber is absolutely wonderful. She’s a gorgeous, medium-sized brindle girl, maybe part Catahoula, with a sweet soul and gentle eyes. She’s friendly, calm, and affectionate. The kind of dog who melts into you during snuggle time and gazes up at you like you hung the moon. Amber is about 4–5 years old and has quickly shown us just how special she is. She’s a calm, affectionate brindle beauty, likely a Catahoula mix, with soulful eyes and a heart full of love. She’s incredibly sweet, gentle, and well-behaved. The kind of dog who doesn’t ask for much, just a soft spot to rest and a human to love. She seems to get along beautifully with other dogs, big and small. And her easygoing nature makes her an ideal addition to just about any home. Amber is looking for a foster home or a forever family. Could it be you?    June 29, 2025, 10:27 pm

Story
Hi there! I’m Sandy. K-9 Angels rescued me off the streets with my litter of puppies and now that we are all safe, I’m learning to live the good life. Some of my favorite things are people, food, and naps. Everyone I’ve met remarks on how sweet I am and I certainly can’t complain about the attention or the butt scratches. I’m no spring chicken, so I really enjoy lounging around on a cool floor, on a comfy dog bed, or out in the sun. When I’m feeling spunky, I’ll chase after a ball in the yard or chew on a stuffy or bone in the house. My foster mom lovingly jokes that I’m a bit of a potato. I do live with another large dog and while we coexist just fine, I’m not really interested in playing with him. Instead, we patrol the yard together and sometimes go on walks. I’m also crate trained and sleep soundly through the night, so there’s no interrupting your beauty sleep or mine. If you’re looking for a sweet sidekick to enjoy long nights in, I’m your girl. Sandy is a Female Black Mouth Cur Mix that we estimate to be born around 4/18/2019 and weighs 70 lbs.
