Milo is a 6 year old black lab mix. He is very loving, loves cuddles, and being outside. He has lived with another dog for 4 years and loved her but he is territorial and doesn’t like other dogs. We are looking to rehome him because we recently had a baby and had to put down our other dog and cannot give him the attention he deserves. He is great with kids and people. He is an active dog who enjoys being outside, exploring, playing, and spending time with his people. He would do best with an experienced and patient owner who understands German Shepherds or other working breeds and can provide consistent training, structure, exercise, and attention. During the first few days or weeks after adoption, he may be anxious or nervous while adjusting to a completely new environment, routine, and people. He needs patience and time to decompress. A calm environment, consistent routine, and slower introduction to new people and surroundings will help him become comfortable and build trust. He has a lot of energy and a strong prey drive, so his new owner should be comfortable managing an active dog and continuing his training. He can also experience separation anxiety and may become destructive when stressed or left alone for extended periods. H

I orginally got Maka from a coworker who needed to rehome him. He's a shar pei mix from what I was told. I have had him for the last 7 years. He's really good with kids - has never bitten any of my three kids (my youngest is 3 years old). Loves to cuddle. Has a lot of energy and loves to run, walk, and play. I am looking for someone who will give him a loving home and will be able to take him in as soon as possible. My new landlord will not allow me to keep him and today is my last day for my old home.
