Story
Max found us in 2021 before the big freeze happened in Texas. He’s been a wonderful pet, gets along great with our other dogs and kids. Max had no behavior issues. He does well inside or out but does need room to run. The reason we cannot keep him is because he runs off if not leashed when our gate is open and when he does, he harasses the neighbor's livestock. We've done everything we can to keep him contained on our property, but occasionally the gate is opened, and he escapes. This is the only reason we must re-home him. If you are a dog lover, can handle a dog that sheds, have a fenced yard with no livestock, please contact us as soon as possible.

Buck: A Gentle Soul with a Heartwarming Story Buck is a captivating dog whose appearance and temperament are reminiscent of a gentle Ayrshire cow. Despite bearing physical scars from his past, they stand as a testament to his resilience and strength. What's truly remarkable about Buck is his spirit – it's untouched by his past challenges, and he radiates love and trust in every interaction. Walking alongside Buck is a joy. He's a pro at leash walking, moving with a graceful ease that makes him a perfect partner for quiet strolls in the park or energetic neighborhood walks. His friendly demeanor shines through as he greets everyone with a wagging tail and a joyful, gentle spirit. While Buck generally gets along well with female dogs and those his own size, he thrives best in a home where he is the only dog at first. This sets the stage for potentially welcoming another compatible dog companion down the line. Buck's world is a tapestry of intriguing scents, and he relishes in exploring and sniffing around. His approach is always gentle, reflecting his calm and comforting nature. Buck also has a playful side, occasionally bursting into delightful zoomies. His strength and love for playful romps make him best suited for a home with children aged 7 and up. His playfulness is never overbearing – he's not mouthy or overly rambunctious. His default setting seems to be happiness, often expressed in an endearing happy dance that's as heartwarming as it is entertaining. An eager learner, Buck has a fondness for treats and food, making training sessions enjoyable. He's especially keen on mastering new tricks and loves being part of family activities, following his favorite humans around, eager to be involved in everything. Buck is more than just a pet; he's a joyful, loving companion, perfect for a home seeking a blend of tranquility and excitement. If you're looking for a loyal, playful, and gentle friend who has overcome adversity with a remarkable spirit, Buck is waiting to fill your life with love and joy. ##1874743##
