Story
Cayenne is a female black and tan chihuahua or similar mix. We estimate her to be 2 years old and she weighs 6-7 lbs. Cayenne is spayed, vaccinated and heartworm negative. She is ready for adoption. Cayenne was surrendered to a Louisiana shelter along with several other dogs 2/12/2026. Cayenne was immediately the most social of the group. She displays several qualities of the perfect Chihuahua... A little bit bossy with her pack, and very into her human. She definitely wants a person to be her bestie. Cayenne is dog friendly but alpha and would probably not do as well with another alpha female dog. She has a perky, involved personality. If you want to walk her on a leash she will need a little work but Cayenne is potty and kennel trained. Adoption fee is $250. Sage was surrendered to a Louisiana shelter along with several other dogs 2/12/2026. Sage is a little shy, but warms up in a few days.. She is sweet and gentle with an alert, intelligent face. Sage gets along well with her sister Basil and they could be adopted together if someone is looking for a pair, but we also think they can thrive separately given the right opportunity. Sage is dog and cat friendly. She is also potty and kennel trained. Adoption fee is $250. Story
Dan Fielding s a male tricolor small mix breed we think may be Min Pin, Rat Terrier or similar combination. Dan Fielding is about 3 years old and weighs 13-14 lbs. Dan is neutered, vaccinated including rabies. He tested heartworm negative and is on monthly preventive. Dan is ready for adoption. Dan Fielding came to us from a NW Louisiana shelter. His background is unknown but we do know he is a good boy. Dan is friendly on first meeting of people or dogs. He does attach to his person and is reluctant to transfer his attention to someone else if his special person is around. Dan is charming and loyal and will be a pleaser to his special person. He has legs for days and is very agile. Dan kennels well and will adapt to new routines with a little consistency and stability. Dan is overall a sweet, good dog. He would be fine in a home with or without other dogs. Adoption fee is $275.
