Calling all those in need of an adorable leggy boxer mix girl named Roxy. She will love any day where she gets to stay by your side. At 11 months and about 60 pounds she is showing her muscles with her sprints, ducks, weaves, and jumps as she plays with other dogs. She loves kids and is fine with cats. Roxy is crate and house trained. After last potty break before bed she heads straight to her kennel for her bedtime snack and a quiet night. Because of her jumping ability and strong legs she needs a 6 foot fence or supervision when outside.

Story

Ziva is a two year-old pity mix that is the sweetest girl. She likes other dogs, chewing her bones and is OK around a cat as long as the cat is grown and self-confident. A kitten acts too much like a squirrel which she cannot stand. Ziva was our foster last year and was adopted locally. After about a year, unfortunately her new dad passed away suddenly, and she went back into the shelter. So back she came into our rescue. Ziva is walking good on a leash and with a harness, is house trained, sleeps in a designated room on her dog bed every night. But she has been caught napping in the dog crate. In the evening after a full day she is ready to snuggle up beside you get some loves and a nap. She is anxiously waiting her chance at her forever home and family.

Mulligan’s DNA Said he’s 1/4 Leopard Hound, 1/4 Beagle, 1/4 Boston Terrier and 1/4 Pyrenees. He’s fully grown and petite at just 35 lbs. He has had some rough experiences, and you can see it in the way he flinches and stays on edge. His fight-or-flight is always on — not because he’s aggressive, but because he’s scared. He has never shown aggression, but he cannot be in a home with kids because fast movements and loud noises overwhelm him. Once he decides you’re safe, he follows you everywhere and doesn’t like for you to leave his sight. He snuggles beside you at night. And he becomes incredibly sweet and loyal. What he does well: • Loves other dogs (they boost his confidence) • House trained • Good in public with a dog buddy • Cuddles once he bonds • Sticks close to his person What he’s still learning: • Trusting new people • Commands • Harness walking • Building confidence • Crates — he will go in a crate, but he has confinement anxiety and barks Mulligan needs a quiet, patient home with at least one confident dog.
