He has no yard to go outside and he is in a cage all day while im at work. I just dont have the attention to give him. I work all the time! Hes such a sweet boy but we are both miserable. I go out of town alot to see family so I have to board him. Its just not fair to him at all. He needs a yard and lots ov lovins.

Nitro was abandoned in March and was scheduled to be euthanized through our local animal control. But we just couldnt let that happen. Not to such a sweet boy. He is really the best rescue we couldve found. He is house broken, crate trained, great with kids and other dogs. He just needs a family to love. We transport all over the US.

Story
Age: 3 - 4 months? Weight: 25lbs? Someone abandoned Sophie in a crate across the street from my house. I assume they knew I fostered dogs and would take Sophie in to foster her. She has been nothing but a pleasure to have here. She is lovable, fun, sweet, and cuddly. She loves to play. She plays well with all other dogs of all sizes. She has never shown any sign of aggression. She is well mannered with puppy tendencies. I am looking for a loving home for Sophie. There is no adoption fee. We can do a trial run to see if it is the right fit. If it doesn't work out, no problem, she is always welcome here. Please contact me if you would like to meet sweet Sophie.

Story
Daddio aka Dad is a male tricolor small scruffy terrier mix. He is 8+ years old and he weighs about 15 pounds. Daddio is recently neutered. He is vaccinated including rabies. Dad is heartworm negative and on monthly heartworm preventive. Dad is ready for adoption. Daddio is Valentine #6 from our group rescued on Valentine’s Day, all pulled from the same overcrowded home. Dad is dog friendly and warms up to people with a few minutes of patience. Some of his initial skepticism we think is protectiveness of his canine family during all the upheaval. This is why we dubbed him Dad and it stuck. But he is very into his person and would make a loyal companion. He is crate trained and has done very well with potty habits. He is not trained to walk on a leash. Dad is seeking an easy going, calmer home. He is active and playful but also slower than the youngsters and appreciates time to kick back. Adoption fee is $200. Must apply: Application for adoption is located at http://fs19.formsite.com/JeffTarpleyRescue/application/index.html Jeff Tarpley Rescue 903-490-2959 We require all potential adopters to submit an application. Story
Roscoe is a male chocolate white and red Rat Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier. He is 3-5 years old and weighs 14 lbs. Roscoe is neutered, vaccinated including rabies. He tested heartworm negative and is on monthly preventive. Roscoe is ready for adoption. Roscoe was owner surrendered to a NW Louisiana shelter along with 3 members of his canine family (Dottie, Eevee and April) due to changes for the human family. He may be the dad to Eevee and/or April. They have obviously been loved and used to being pets inside the home. Roscoe and his family get along with each other and other dogs. They are friendly and social with new people. Roscoe is very affectionate and sweet with his people. He may nip when excited but this can be curtailed by being calm with him. Roscoe plays with the girls in his family and other dogs, but of the four he seems the most content to do his own thing. Roscoe is smart and learns quickly. He has done well with potty habits, is cooperative with kenneling and is manageable on a leash. Roscoe can be adopted separately or with one or more of his crew. He is ready to be a loyal companion to someone lucky person or people. Adoption fee is $275. Story
Mr. Cutie aka Cutie Pie is a male black with white Chihuahua or chihuahua mix puppy. As he grows we are thinking chiweenie. He was born on Valentine’s Day, hence the candy heart name! He weighs about 10.5 pounds (as of 7/24/25), largest of the litter. Cutie Pie is ready for adoption having been neutered and had all four sets of puppy vaccines, rabies vaccine and deworming. Cutie Pie is a puppy of Squirrel, Valentine #1, a sweet face tan Chihuahua about 10 lbs, surrendered to a local shelter on Valentine's Day while giving birth to her puppies…along with 15 other adults, and one other litter, all from the same home. Squirrel is a chihuahua personality, loving but a bit protective, very alert. All the dogs in the home were between 5-18 lbs, chihuahuas, dachshund mixes, and a small scruffy terrier. Among these would be the dad of the puppy. Cutie Pie was the only brother. Now that all his sisters and mom are adopted he’s been in a foster home learning social skills, crate training and potty training. He is figuring it all out pretty well. Cutie is very affectionate with people and loves to play with the other dogs. He is very food driven which should work well for his continued training. Cutie Pie likes his Nylabone and is very fond of a tennis ball. His gallops are the cutest thing. Adoption fee is $200.
