This is Minnie. She joined our family at just 8 weeks old, and for the past 8 years she has been one of the best parts of our home. Minnie is truly the definition of a gentle, easy-going golden. Unfortunately, our youngest son is battling allergies, and after many conversations and attempts to make things work, we’ve made the very difficult decision to re-home her to a family who can love her just as much as we do. Age: 8 years Temperament: Extremely kind, calm, and wonderfully lazy Great with: Kids of all ages, other dogs, cats, and all animals shes ever met Lifestyle: Flexible, easy-going, and very used to a busy home Training: Fully house-trained and has excellent manners Travel: Fantastic traveler &car rides, trips, new places, she handles it all Hobbies: Loves water, sunbathing, playing outside, and being near her people Minnie is the kind of dog who just fits in a in anywhere. We are looking for a loving, stable home where she will be treated as family.

Many of our animals can be seen at our adoption center located at 5820 Richmond Rd, Texarkana, TX on Saturdays between 10 am - 3 pm.  To make arrangements to meet any of our animals, please call us at 1-877-525-4825, option 2.   Texarkana Animal League is a 501c3 non profit and all donations are tax deductible.  Killer is a senior chi/terrier mix whose owner passed away recently and killer found himself at the Hope Animal Shelter and was very scared and in danger of being euthanized so we rescued him. He is super sweet and gets along with other dogs and cats. Hès housebroken and a love bug lap baby! He is looking for his furever home and would do best in a calm household with maybe some senior parents :)    Killer was adopted last year (5/24/25) by a lovely senior couple who loved him and gave him the best home, but his mom passed away recently, and his dad is going into the nursing home after breaking his hip so sadly Killer had to come back to us to find a new permanent home. He is the sweetest boy and loves to cuddle. He would do better being the only dog as he wants all the attention and doesn't like to share it. He gets along great with other dogs until it's time to get cuddles from his humans and then he wants the other dogs to get LOST! lol.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 13, 2025, 1:48 pm

Story
My name is Adalyn. My mother was pregnant with us and it was obvious that we were soon to be born. The person that my mother lived with took her far away from all she knew as "home" and pushed her out with nothing, no shelter, no food not even water. A kind man found her on his land and knew that we were about to be born any day. He took mother to his home and the six of us were born 2 days later. The man had a friend that knew about Greg King Canine Recovery Dog Rescue so they were contacted and that began our best lives.....we are all fat, healthy, vaccinated and ready for a real home, where we will be loved and cherished and never have to worry about a growling tummy because there's not enough to eat and never have to worry about what happened to mother.....and toys.....we love toys, but food and vaccinations HAVE to be bought first with the money donated to the rescue, so there aren't many toys, but Daina and Latrell have promised that our new homes will have more toys than we have ever dreamed of. My sister Ayla has already been adopted so I'm stuck with 3 brothers. It's no much fun because they play like boys. Application link https://forms.gle/mtaWGXgjgBRLat1T7 The total cost of adoption is $175. If you pick up from our rescue in Texarkana, Texas, there will not be a transport fee, so adoption would only cost $100 which helps cover the costs of vaccinations, Vet visits and puppy food. Only the $75 transport fee is due to secure transport from our rescue in Texarkana, Texas to one of the 7 locations on our transport route. The $100 adoption fee is not due until you pick him/her up on the transport date at the location you select. You also have the option to designate someone else to pick up your pet. Please watch our reels on Facebook; Search "Greg King & Greg King Canine Recovery" Greg King Canine Recovery dog rescue is located at 484 Farren Road in Texarkana, Texas 75503. Once a month, we transport all pre-adopted dogs and puppies to the following 7 cities. We are a foster based rescue, but due to a lack of available fosters, we have approximately 75 with us here on our 2.2 acres that Greg, Daina and I (Latrell) love and care for until they can be adopted. Poplar Bluff, Missouri Arnold, Missouri Springfield, Illinois Bloomington, Illinois Rockford, Illinois Joliet, Illinois Kalamazoo, Michigan Please contact me, Latrell King, at 903-280-4233 for adoption questions. Please send a text before calling and then you can also leave a voicemail because I don't usually have my phone with me when I am taking care of the puppies, cleaning kennels, feeding, vaccinating, etc. I will return your call or respond to your message ASAP. Once you complete an application, we will process it to get it approved. If it is approved, I will send you the "Approval Letter" via text followed by the "Transport Roster Information form" The Transport Roster Information form will guide you to select your pickup location and provide links to pay the $75 Transport fee. The adoption fee is not due until you pick up your new dog/puppy on the scheduled transport day. Following are ballpark estimates of our arrival at each transport location. I will also send a live Google Map link so that adoptive parents can follow our travel progress from one pick up location to the next. 1.
